I respect your attempts to build consensus, but some folks aren't interested in the greater good--and never will be. Look to the cult classic movie "They Live" for your new motto: "I came here to chew gum and kick a$$, and I'm all out of chewing gum."

- Dear Mr President,
Thank you for your incredible service to this country. Any one who dares to step into that job is either really foolish or a genius....I'm betting on the latter.
Please get us out of Afghanistan and Iraq. USSR went bankrupt trying to fight Afghanistan and it led to their downfall. Why aren't we learning from them?
Why are we spending so much money on fighting someone else's battles when our own country needs so much help?
Solving the terrorist problem needs new approaches, not more bombs. Let's kill them with kindness!

Please keep our jobs in America! As an American citizen I feel beaten down. Many of my family members and friends are unemployed. It's not fair! Also, health insurance, kindly see that all Americans can have it. That's all for now, Mr. President. Just these two things and you'll make the world right again.

- This country that you are trying to destroy is too important to the world. Clearly you know nothing of history or you would not be embracing Socialism. I suggest two options 1) study the Constitution and embrace it. Do everything you can to restore this country's Liberty. or 2) step down now. The world is watching your out of control leftist power grab.
You have weakened and endangered this once great nation but you will not succeed in it's destruction. Free people will not stand by silently while a tyrant try to take our Liberty. I believe in the Constitution and the values of our founding Fathers. Clearly you do not. 2010 is just around the corner and you will be losing those elected official who have chosen to ignore the voters and instead give you whatever you want. Your wings will be clipped and your reign of terror will stop. Enjoy the good times on the tax payers dime while you have it. The American spirit is alive and well, no thanks to you!

- Fantastic lens idea! I bet there will be some debate and I see there are aleady more than 1 point of view represented. I'll send my letter direct :) and I really do...I write to congress and the White House whenever I feel strongly about a situation. which I think everyone should do.)

- Yes, we should all be writing more letters. From what I hear, this president is one who listens more than he talks, so we might have someone here who cares what we say. Letter writing will be more than just an exercise..
