All About Dear Superstar
Dear Superstar is a rock band from Manchester in the UK, the band is currently signed to the DEMOLITION/DR2 record label and has to date released a total of two studio albums. The band has been around now since 2004 and as well as having released two albums the band released a five track EP beforehand also under the title of 'Submission of Your Soul'. It's been an interesting journey for the band thus far, and those that like such bands as Bullet For My Valentine and Motley Crue should absolutely love the music that Dear Superstar has to offer. The band's sound has developed and improved throughout the years, the band having toured the country with a number of different bands since forming in 2004 and the experience has certainly done Dear Superstar the world of good. The band has toured with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout, and Pitchshifter, and has even ventured as far as Finland. Life on the road is what Dear Superstar loves; all five of the band's members love to tour, and having spent much of 2008 touring; now is the time to tour a little more in support of the 'Heartless' album.
The band has recorded and released two studio albums now in the space of two years; first the 'Confessions of a Twisted Mind' album in 2006, and then the 'Heartless' album in 2008. It has been a busy couple of years for the band, a lot has been accomplished and the band's profile has really been heightened. The band is now signed to DR2 Records and the future looks to be incredibly bright for Dear Superstar; superstardom has been threatening for several years now, and with the move to the DR2 record label this dream has now become even closer to becoming a reality for the band.
Four years, two studio albums, and countless shows on the road have really helped to shape the band's sound; Dear Superstar's music is now bigger and better than ever and going into 2009 I'm sure there'll be plenty talking about the band all around the world. The Demolition/DR2 record label is the musical home to the likes of Sebastian Bach, Hanoi Rocks, and Wednesday 13; with such high quality all around them though, Dear Superstar is not a band that is at all out of place and in this sort of company is in fact exactly where Dear Superstar really deserves to be.
Dear Superstar is a band with a powerful rock presence, there's a lot more to come from this band yet, and as we head ever further into the future I'm sure that Dear Superstar's fan base will increase and the band's popularity will rise. Expect big things to come of Dear Superstar in the not too distant future.

Confessions of a Twisted Mind
Amazon Price: $15.98 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
'Confessions of a Twisted Mind' is the debut album from Dear Superstar, the album was released in 2006 and features ten tracks from the band. It was a great first album from the band and still one that I play a lot even now; it's a fantastic ten track release of music and showcases sublimely the fine rock sound of Dear Superstar.
The band was unsigned when the 'Confessions of a Twisted Mind' was first recorded; it was a self-financed effort and what a fine achievement it was for the band to do this too. To release an album as excellent as this without a record label really is a powerful quality to find in a band, it was later officially distributed through Casket Records however and it was excellent to see when Casket latched on to the brilliance of the release.
It's amazing what Dear Superstar managed with its first studio album, far finer an album was recorded here than what a lot of bands manage in their whole career. The album is packed full of quality, and although the band has since improved and released an even greater album in the form of 'Heartless'; what the band did here with 'Confessions of a Twisted Mind' is truly excellent and all should therefore give the album a listen. Don't listen to this album and you're missing out on something truly special.
Dear Superstar is a band that has come an awful long way since first forming in 2004, it took the band just two years to record an album as excellent as this though and I feel that this really was a truly amazing achievement for the band. Dear Superstar is a far better band now than it was in 2006, even in 2006 the band was exceptional though and if you haven't already listened to this album then I highly recommend that you give it a try, hear what the band has to offer, and after you've done that I'm sure you'll be eager to own this album; it really is that excellent.
Dear Superstar - Heartless
(2008)
Heartless
Amazon Price: $8.99 (as of 12/05/2009)![]()
Produced by Romesh Dodangoda (The Blackout, Funeral for a Friend, Lost Prophets, Kids In Glass Houses), 'Heartless' is the second studio album from Dear Superstar. The album consists of ten tracks and even features guest vocals from Bullet For My Valentine on one of them. It's a fantastic rock album from the band and one which provides for a highly enjoyable listening experience.
Every track here is excellent, the band's vocals always being the most striking feature of the sound and the guitar riffs also coming across astonishingly strongly here. Every quality of the music is excellent and always the band puts its all into the music here. Every riff is magnificent and every drumbeat is played to absolute perfection.
There are a few tracks that stand out more strongly than others, there's not a single bad track present here however and all ten are excellent in their own individual ways. The music is fluid, the sound is always strong, and from start to finish the album is always highly impressive. The band doesn't put a single note wrong and it really is very hard to find fault with this album.
Think Motley Crue, but then picture a band that's even better; that really is just how strong an album this truly is. Dear Superstar is a truly excellent band and at all times this is something that is shown here with the magnificent masterpiece that is 'Heartless'. For all rock fans of the world this is an album that is well worth owning.
