Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie is an indie pop quartet from Bellingham, Washington that formed in 1997.  The band was started as the solo project of Ben Gibbard, singer/guitar, who previously recorded under the name All-Time Quarterback.

Soon after, he sought out a band which includes Christopher Walla, guitar/organ, Nick Harmer, bass, and Nathan Good on drums.

The band has gone from an indie band from the Northwest, to a band that is popular in countries around the world.  As a matter of fact, their John Byrd E.P. which was released in 2005 sold 90,000 copies in its first week.

It seems that the bands fame is continuing to grow and you can find more information about DCFC playing near you here.

Three things you may not have known about Death Cab For Cutie

1.) The band takes its name from a satirical song of the same name, performed by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band on their 1967 album.

2.) in 2000 the band released We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes. Nathan Good left the band at some point during this album's production.

3.) Michael Schorr would first appear on The Forbidden Love E.P.
