Darkness incarnate is finally unleashed with this addition to the Wrath of The Lich King expansion. Unlockable at level 55, the death knight uses the power of their runeblade to smite their enemies, living and undead alike. But do the death knights have a more sinister plan than the scourge?

Details, Details...
Now that we know a bit more about the Death Knight class, we can be pretty confidant about how the whole thing will play out in the expansion.
» The Death Knight class will be unlockable by players with a character over level 55.
» Death Knights will start out in Acherus: The Ebon Hold above Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands.
» Death Knights start at level 55 with a set of spells and abilities and uncommon gear. By the time you exit the hold, you character should have a set of rare gear and be ready to go to Outland.
» Death Knights draw power not from mana, but from a system of runes. Combining blood, frost, and unholy runes to power abilities also builds up runic power which can be used for certain channeling type spells.
» Death Knights will have access to Runeforging, a class specific style of enchanting that can be used to self-enchant weaponry.
» Death Knights get a free mount (Deathcharger) after successful completion of several quests.
» Oh, and you'll be treated like an outcast in the capitol cities until you repair your reputation with them.

- Raydak: The Death Knight will be available on both Horde and Alliance side. The pics are just the preview from Blizzard.
Chadrew: I do belive that the Death Kniight will have a form of Death Coil. :D
