    To be honest here this is just a bandaid solution, Im glad to be getting it but honestly Bush could have taken steps way early on that would have helped, it is very sad to think that it takes a recession for the government to admit all is not well,"Bush is a gutless flip flop"

    Nice lens you got here!

    Even though I file taxes each year, I was told that I will not be eligable for this tax rebate, because my income is too low. :( Aparently you have to reach a certain income bracket to be eligable for it. I just found this out this week when I filed my taxes. It was very disapointing because I had planned on using the rebate get a car. You can get $500 cars at aution, junky I know, but it'd be a start.

    It was such a huge blow finding out that low-income families are excluded from the tax rebate. It's not fair. :(

    How in the world are we going to pay off China when the government can't pay to keep our soldiers safe. The government has been throwing good money at the military who has been spending money on things they are not using which will eventually be trashed because the product is obsolete. This has been going on since VIETNAM. When with the American People learn to ask that the Military be accountable for what they spend and then throw away.

    I would use the money to decorate the house! First start with the home bar / entertainment room which I would need to buy the bar and a flat screen tv. Then buy plants to plant outside.

    I'll probably do what would least help the economy. Pay off a bill or put the money into my mortgage.

    I would imagine they are hoping everyone will use the money to make a down payment on something and continue spending.
