Could DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ Be The First Woman President?

Could this be the first woman President of the United States?  She has the glam of Sarah Palin, the work ethic of Hillary Clinton and the toughness of Nancy Pelosi.    Well, yes, Hillary is tough and Nancy works hard and they are both attractive, but Debbie Wasserman Schultz is, as they say, the whole enchalada.

I first saw Debbie Wasserman Schultz as a commentator/interviewee on MSNBC.  She is smart, speaks well, and doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. I want to see more of her.  I like her politics a lot.  She is strong on health care reform, among other things.  I look forward to hearing more about her in the future.  Right now she is just a Representative from Florida, but I think there are big things ahead for her.  I will never live in Florida, but I am going to keep an eye on her in case she comes up on a national ballot!

Interesting and amazing fact about Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  She isn't just tough politically.

From Wikipedia:  In March 2009, she revealed that she underwent seven surgeries related to breast cancer in 2008, while maintaining her responsibilities as a member of the House.

She worked for other women with cancer both before and after her personal battle

The congresswoman in 2009 increased efforts to promote early screening for breast cancer, after she revealed her own battle with the disease in 2008. She maintained an aggressive schedule campaigning during recovery from seven operations.[2]

A Whole Package: All the Glam of a Sarah Palin with the Work Ethic of a Hillary Clinton

Five Reasons to Love Debbie Wasserman Schultz

1. Democratic Unifier
Throughout the 2007 and 2008 primary season, Wasserman Schultz was resolute in her support for Hillary Clinton. Whether on TV, radio, or in the blogosphere, Wasserman Schultz was unflappable. But when Barack Obama won the nomination, Wasserman Schultz quickly endorsed him and campaigned vigorously. None of this has been lost on Democratic leaders. Her tireless efforts to unify the Obama and Clinton camps won her kudos from the party faithful, and instantly made her a power player in national politics.

2. Florida. Florida. Florida.
Wasserman Schultz represents the Sunshine State in the U.S. Congress; having her on the ticket would give the Democrats the upper hand in the infamous I-4 corridor connecting Daytona Beach, Orlando and Tampa. Grab the middle and you win the state -- Wasserman Schultz could be the Dems' surest bet.

3. Her Jewish Heritage
Before last fall, nobody thought a Jewish-American would ever have a legitimate chance at the White House. But with the tolerant views of 80 million politically involved millennials who helped elect President Obama, Wasserman Schultz's Jewish heritage won't be a liability. How she weighs in on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict between now and then will have a real impact on her standing in the Jewish community, but if she can find a way to please those folks while maintaining cred with younger voters, she could bring far more voters to the polls than Joe Lieberman did for Al Gore in 2000.

4. She's Tough ... Seriously!
By all accounts, she's funny, engaging and benevolent. But if you've seen her on cable and network shows, you'll know she's also very skilled at dismantling nonsensical arguments, and, leaving unprepared opponents picking their faces up off the ground. And she has used her tenacity, and tirelessness, to fight for the rights of families, women and children.

5. The 2016 and 2020 Anniversaries
2016 isn't just a presidential election year, it's also the 100th anniversary of Jeannette Rankin being the first woman elected to the Congress. Her victory was all the more remarkable because women couldn't vote -- that didn't come until four years later. The 2016 and 2020 elections promise to be reflective, euphoric and celebratory periods -- and with her considerable political gifts, Wasserman Schultz could take full advantage of the great national mood.

And yes, I know, it's still very, very early. A day in politics is like an eternity, and one day's worth of political earthquakes could shake up or diminish any predictions. I know. But don't tell me that a woman won't be either president of vice-president seven years from now. I just wouldn't bet against it. And I wouldn't bet against Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz being that woman.

Ed Napolitano Shoots At Debbie Wasserman Schultz's Name

Full Story of the 'Joke' about shooting at Debbie Wasserman Schultz

The in past year a doctor and a census worker have been killed after ubiquitous propaganda about how doctors and census workers are destroying America. People have taken automatic weapons opening to President Obama's town halls. How, in this climate, could anyone think that it would be funny to put Debbie Wasserman Schultz' initials on a target at a shooting range?

Wasserman Schultz gave a classy response.

"Thank you for your apology for the disturbing action that occurred at your recent meeting. I feel strongly that the discourse in American politics has taken an extreme and potentially dangerous turn in the past few months. As party leaders we must work together to maintain a civil discourse over the direction of our country. While we may not always agree on the best course for our nation, I believe that we can stand united in agreement that politics of the extreme have no place in America."

My Bio

Squidoo Lens of the Day!

For Arrowsmith Printing 9/22/08

I was born into a small business, I believe that small business and entrepreneurs are the backbone of America and what has made us great. They are what made us great and will save us in these unsure times. I have never wanted to have a great job. Well, better a great one, than a boring dead end one, and I have had both. But I have never really wanted a job at all.

Don't get me wrong, I am a hard worker. I have worked a full-time job, a part time job and a private practice all at the same time for a lot of years in my past. It isn't the work, its the working for someone else. Never wanted to do that, and I don't understand those who want to do that.

When I was six months old my parents bought their first small town weekly newspaper in Iowa. This was back in the day, back when small town newspapers were not just advertising sheets. Perhaps there are still some of them that are real, I hope so.

So I came by this perverse nature naturally. My path to self employment has been different than theirs, but it has always been my path, my direction.

Growing up in Iowa, in the fifties, I also grew up politically conservative. By the time I was 30 I was radically left. Today? I am proudly liberal and what that means will be clearer as we progress.

However, I have had conflicts about 'taking advantage of people'. I now know that employing people is not automatically taking advantage of them, but it took a while for me to learn that nothing is intrinsically good or bad. Well, almost nothing.

I have educated myself in business, I have a small business and I have used EFT and other energy clearing methods to help me clarify the old conflicts and move forward.

My mission here is to provide a forum for people who want to work independently through one person businesses or through employing others and for whom the betterment of human kind is an important value. My lenses are about offering good products, teaching people about betting their lives, and using the money they make for their pleasure and the benefit of others.

That is how I see business and if you have a similar vision I invite you to my blog www.creatingbusinessenergy.com
