Wow, what a wonderful day, I met with a gal that is the Publisher of a great newspaper for the Southwest and I'm looking to start a column for teens and parents, kind of like Dear Abbey. I am looking for ideas on what I could call myself, Dear...... the column is to answer questions for teens and parents on issues that are up for them. I would love any input.. Thanks Debra

I cannot express my gratitude enough for this lens and your message. We live in an outrageous culture.I watched a beautiful woman in my world alter her face and body almost beyond recognition of her former self. Now she looks like a person who has had lots of plastic surgery. Who is she? I admired her before; now I don't know who she is.

This is wonderful! I wish I had something like this when I was growing up. My best friend is a nail tech who loves doing pedicures. She has created "Foot Goddess" pedicures because so many women come in and say "I hate my feet they are ugly". She says I tell that their feet represent "understanding of the self". After that is said, I watch them sit back, reflect, and talk about their distorted image. She says there is always tears but when they leave the comment she hears the most is "my feet are sweet and cute".

What you are doing is helping the next generation love themselves. Bravo to you!!! Linda

Superb lens. I have an 8 year old daughter - she already says she doesn't like her nose!??? Where could that come from???

Good work on the lens! Our society's focus on this ideal, unrealistic model of beauty is so destructive, thanks to you, Debra Beck, and Dove for recognizing and trying to address it.
