Our Horsey Cupcake Guestbook

I'd love to hear what you think of my cupcake page.

From the lens Making and Decorating Cupcakes with Kids.

I had a lot of fun Decorating Cupcakes with my Grandkids. So what do you think, did we do a good job of following the directions for How to make Horse Cupcakes?

What a marvelous way to enjoy time with your grandies. It never would've occurred to me that cupcakes coulda' been made into horses, but you all did a great job.

Oh Kathy, I just love that video. Apart from the fact that it is sharing some of YOU, it's great to put a voice to the face :)

Simply had to return to leave an ~*~* Angel Blessing *~*~ here for so many reasons. Just some of them: this lens is so much fun; fantastic use of photos and video; love the fact that you were inspired by Sylvestermouse who was inspired by HorseAndPony -- talk about supporting the Squidoo community!
  • KathyMcGraw Jun 21, 2010 @ 12:59 pm | delete
Nickie thank you for the Blessing..am laughing here as yes it was pretty fun to be copying Sylvesternouse's original Horse themed cupcake lens that she made for HorseAndPony :) We all laughed at the difference of how our cupcakes turned out, this was indeed good community fun :)

Never thought of making "horsey cupcakes" but I'm definitely going to tuck these away for the day when I have grandchildren How much fun would these be to make. :)
  • KathyMcGraw May 7, 2010 @ 11:14 am | delete
LOL...I never thought of making these either....but once I saw the original Horse Cupcake Article...well, we just had to try it :)
  • Sylvestermouse Apr 29, 2010 @ 6:46 pm | delete
Oh, Kathy! This is absolutely wonderful! You and your grandchildren did a wonderful job on the cupcakes and believe me, the memories of making them are a lot more important than anything else. This is an example of what makes decorating cupcakes fun! You granddaughters are so sweet and adorable. I look forward to seeing the panda cupcakes (between you and me, they are easier :)

LOL...yes, these could be an example of what makes decorating cupcakes fun :) I want to thank you for giving us such a great activity....and also for the books. I found them from your "real" Horse Decorating Lens....and so glad to hear the pandas are easier, can't wait to make them!

Oh these came out wonderful, Kathy! Well done to you and the kids. Sounds like good fun was had by all! :)
  • KathyMcGraw Apr 28, 2010 @ 4:31 pm | delete
Thanks Nicki, I should frame this..."came out wonderful" LOL :) My grandaughter said they weren't "exactly" like the ones Sylvestermouse did. And they sure weren't, but it was fun and I would make them again too.
  • prosperity66 Apr 28, 2010 @ 12:21 pm | delete
I still don't know what cupcakes are exactly (we don't have such things here) but these look yummy and I'm mouthwatering right now! Congrats on those pastries (I suppose they are) you did with the grand children, Kathy, they really look good!
  • KathyMcGraw Apr 28, 2010 @ 1:01 pm | delete
Hey Dom, a cupcake is usually just a small round version of a big cake, in a little paper cup :) They don't have them everywhere as you said, but here in America they are very popular, especially with kids as they can eat them anywhere :)
  • Wednesday_Elf Apr 28, 2010 @ 12:01 pm | delete
Doesn't matter if the horse cupcakes came out looking 'perfect' or not -- the grandkids had a ball with grandma - and I'll bet they tasted 'just fine'. Darling story!
  • KathyMcGraw Apr 28, 2010 @ 12:18 pm | delete
You're right Pat...we had a ball, but we didn't even eat them that night as we were too full from eating all the ingredients LOL :)
  • a_willow Apr 28, 2010 @ 11:33 am | delete
Looks like girls really had fun! :)

That is too funny. I loved your video. I think we will have a very similar experience. :) How did Sylvestermouse make her cupcakes so perfect? Blessed!
  • KathyMcGraw Apr 28, 2010 @ 11:28 am | delete
LOL...I was wondering how she made hers so perfect too :) Look at her heads and ours...guess we will never win the Betty Crocker award for best cupcakes, but it sure was fun. Oh, and thank you for the blessing....
