Hot New Christmas Decorating Ideas for 2012

One of the highlights for our family is decorating the house for Christmas both inside and outdoors.

From putting up Christmas lights and setting up the outside decor to putting up the tree and decorating our home indoors just seems to put a big smile on everybody's face!

Some of the traditions we enjoy is setting up our christmas village which we try to add one additional item to each year and putting up and decorating the tree which everyone helps out with.

Every year we try to incorporate something new into our decorating scheme and this is why I decided to share some of our favourite new ideas so maybe you can find some useful ideas for your own home.

I'll admit we might tend to go a bit overboard with Christmas decorating and it's a lot of work but it's fun work and we look forward to it every year. So here's hoping you enjoy a few of the ideas below and we do invite you to share your own ideas in the comments section below.

I'll admit that we converted from a real tree to an artificial variety with some reluctance but you don't need to worry about watering and shedding needles plus the pre-lit trees available today present a beautifully uniform lighting scheme and the single burnt out bulb shutting down a full string of lights is a thing of the past.
