Losing belly fat should be your number #1 goal in life. Four years ago my weight had gotten way out of control. I started looking for that magic fat belly diet. I tried Weight Watchers, most of the women there got mad at me because I lost 10 lbs. the first two weeks. Over the long run it just wasn't for me. Besides I hated paying my weekly fee.

I then tried Atkins, the low carb diet. I lost 60 lbs. over a five month period. But once I went off the diet I gained all the weight back in short order.

I tried the South Beach Diet, man all the slicin, dicin, and chopin did the wife and I in. We lost weight, but could not keep up with the diet. We did get some good recipes out of it.

But the one thing you must be aware of, the fat belly diet does exist. You stick with any of these diets and you will see your fat belly disappear. That is the one good thing about dieting the first place you see reduction is in the belly.

As with a large majority of people in the United States, I am always in a constant battle to shed those extra few pounds that would make life so much more pleasant. Many, many diets I've tried and research leave me frustrated, tired, cranky, and typically, with less money in my pockets. How refreshing it was to stumble upon the weight loss plan called Fatloss4idiots.com. Having several of the 4 Idiots books, I was familiar with the simple yet completeness of their content.

I decided to look further into this plan because I was tired of being scammed by programs that promised me that if I did this, this, and that, I would lose a magical number of pounds, never exercise and certainly would be able to eat anything I wanted. So, in earnest, I looked for reviews, evaluated the content on the website and can to a conclusion. This plan really would work!

The simple thing about Fatloss4idiots.com, is that I don't have to prepare any fancy meals, stock up on any exotic pills nor do I need to purchase their meals. I could, for less than the price of most books I buy, download the program and plan. This was a plus because when I'm ready to do something, I want to be able to do it then and not wait on the mail, a trip to town or anything else. Also, I could print the parts I wanted to, such as menus and keep the rest for reference.

I really liked the way the program was written. The author uses layman's terms and yet I never felt as if I was being talked down to. I also appreciate the graphics. I am a visual learner. These types of techniques in print help me retain the information making it all the more easier to apply to my situation.

The program does not get monotonous by using the same few dull foods. In fact, Fatloss4idiots.com, is just the opposite. I'm able to enjoy a broad range of foods. I read an article about eating certain fats with each meal that will specifically target belly fat. I take a flax seed oil supplement with each meal. It seems to be helping. I am not any more physically active than I was, but I am losing weight around my midsection. I have cut down my caloric intake, but not drastically. I especially like the fact that chocolate is listed as one of the things you can eat to help lose weight. They key is to only have one serving with each meal. Some examples of the foods containing the correct fat were chocolate, nuts, flax seed oil, olive oil, avacodas, omega 3 fats such as fish. I am very pleased with the difference that I am seeing.

Doing daily calisthenics in a group. I found myself in the best shape of my life doing a daily workout with a group of my friends vs. doing them alone. I would often find myself slacking doing things solo, but with my friends everyone would want to keep up with each other. Some of my friends agreed that without the group they would do the same.

I write down everything I eat and monitor what I was eating and get a clear picture of my eating habits.
2. I use smaller plates because i feel that I feel full when my plate is empty, regardless of how much I eat. And when I have 4 to 6 healthy mini meals a day, I will not be hungry. I have controlled the craving.
3. I use to go daily for a walk,morning for 2hrs and evening for 1hrs. I avoid sweets and lessen the intake of sugar.
4. I use to take Green tea.
5. I use to have apple and cookie as a snaks in the evening.
6.I never cut down my meal,i started eating smartly.

My favorite body fat loss tip is a simple one. First, you must burn more calories than you eat. This means keeping track of what you take in.

The second part of the equation is exercise. A good mix of weight training and cardio will also help reduce your waistline.

But do not forget the third part of the equation. A positive mental attitude is very important. I have often begun to mentally prepare myself for a diet for a couple of days. I picture myself on the diet, see the results in my mind and generally mentally see the whole picture before I start.

There you are a good plan of attack for your next diet. Positive mental attitude should be number one step in any diet.

There was study written up in JAMA in 2007 that overweight apple-shaped guys and dolls are "high-insulin secretors", while pear-shaped guys and dolls are "low-insulin secretors. So what does this mean? According to the study, it means that apple-shaped people do better on low glycemic load than on low fat diets. While pears it doesn't make a different.

So your body shape (apple or pear) can help determine which diet is likely to work best for you. The role of insulin, which triggers the body to store excess glucose as fat, is central to the way different food types are handled. Some overweight people secrete high amounts of insulin, others low amounts. The high-secretors are likely to be apple- shaped, the low secretors pear-shaped.

The low glycemic diet (40% carbohydrate, 35% fat, and rich in low glycemic foods) was proven to be the best diet in this study for the high-insulin secretors, most likely apple-shaped. While the low-insulin secretors, most likely pear-shape, did the same on the low glycemic and low fat diets (55% carbohydrate, 23% fat).

So since we are looking to lose the belly fat, we must be apples, we need the low glycemic load diets. Ok I will find out which are the best low glycemic diets.
