Hi Everyone! My name is Ken Hong. Well, that's my American name at least. I was born Kyung Sun Hong in Seoul, Korea. I left my native land in 1980 to come to the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles at the age of six.

I am a bone cancer survivor and have been in remission now for the past 19 years. My interests and tastes are quite eclectic in numerous genres of music, books, and, cinema. However, I would describe myself as an enthusiastic foodie, a voracious reader, and pugnacious fighter against mean and stupid people. Not literally, of course. I simply don't see the need for the stupid and cruel in our society. Ignorance simply means that a person doesn't know any better because they have never been taught or instructed. Progress can be made with them. However, there is simply nothing that can be done with stupid.

I have traveled the U.S. extensively over the past 16 years while working for my marketing company which is based in South New Jersey. I spend my winters at home in Los Angeles and I am on the road living out of hotels and suitcases the rest of the year.

People, in general, fascinate me. I have learned a great deal over the years in my travels from the North to the South, and from the East and West. It has always amazed me just how different many of us are depending on the region of the country we come from. We truly are products of our environment unless you make a true effort not to be.
