Crowd Cheering Deer or Lions at National Zoo?
National Zoo Lion Deer Exhibit? Many residents of Washington, D.C. have a love/hate relationship with deer in the city, especially those that venture from Rock Creek Park to graze on roses, pansies, beloved bushes and gardens.
But when a deer accidentally jumps into the lions enclosure on Sunday, November 8th, 2009 at National Zoo, for several heart stopping minutes, the crowd roots for the deer to escape.
Even though the lions are doing what lions do naturally when prey like deer come into their environment, if you're an animal lover, you may want to skip watching these videos a bystander captured. None of the images show any of the lions actually killing the deer but there is one of a lion holding down the deer.
