Fighting depression is not as easy as it seems. These depression tips are essentially tools to help fight depression, and get you back to living the life you deserve. Learn from my firsthand experience as I found the strength to defeat depression!

Because CHANGE is all YOU need!!!

If you are anything like me, then we are both sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Last year I spent the entire year, broke, depressed, under-appreciated, unhealthy, lonely, fatigued, did I say broke?... and to top it all off I was Pregnant and Pissed off!

Half way through this year, guess what? I have improved my financial situation SUBSTANTIALLY! Ha! and I am no longer depressed, under-appreciated, unhealthy , lonely, oh GOD and all that other crap. Why? Because I had the sudden audacity to change my mind! I couldn't stand it anymore. I got tired of "crying" at the drop of a dime and taking pills which were suppose to make me SMILE :o/ My nerves were shot, my husband was going gray and I couldn't enjoy my newborn son.

So one day while I was home in a pill induced, joyous state, I rolled over and decided to check my e-mail (of course checking my e-mail to see who HADN'T mailed me so I could go into the next no one wants to talk to me guilt trip phase, was just another way for me not to face reality) and of course NO ONE had sent me even a piece of spam! Either way, as I was closing my browser I see this little ad that says:

Depression Kills: How to add 10 years to YOUR life!"

Okay, so who wouldn't want to live longer? And at this point I was desperately seeking answers as to what was wrong with me. Why wasn't I happy anymore? I was looking for help but couldn't ASK for help (I know YOU know what I mean), but inside my own four walls, I could click on this one simple link, see what was being offered in way of giving me my life back, and no one was there to judge me or look at me as if to say, "Suck it up and get over it, you have a child to take care of!" I was silently seeking help! I found so much more!

And this is why I am here.

I have been where you are, silently seeking a way out of a crushing disposition. I started reading free articles, subscribing to newsletters, e-zines and online courses. I bought e-books, hardcopy, and joined message boards and member sites. I was on a rampage to recovery. I had people to talk to, I had e-mails in my inbox (so what if it was a newsletter, it was correspondence with someone who wasn't looking down on me), and I had focus.

The RIGHT opportunity and determination, Can change your life.

So many people have faced obstacles and battled their way out. *Depression is a very serious Mental Health illness, in no way will I ever make light of anyone's battle. My goal is to offer a hand without a voice. No judging eyes. My change started on the inside, looking and searching.

Stop being Negative, Disbelieving, and Skeptical, and open up to the information that is out there to help YOU!

Recognize depression first by knowing a few facts:

Myth: Depression is a personal or moral weakness.

Fact: Depression is an illness with no single cause. Heredity, chemical changes in the body, and significant life changes or stressors all can lead to a depressive episode.

Myth: Depression is only extreme sadness - "Snap out of it!"

Fact: Depression is more than sadness or having the "blues." Symptoms of depression are much more pervasive and chronic and can lead to significant impairment in one or more areas of life.

Myth: Depressed people are lazy or looking for attention.

Fact: Actually, people with depression may attempt to hide their distress from others. Encourage them to talk about their depression and seek the help they need.

Taking Control of Your Body

How exercise helps depression and anxiety
Exercise has long been touted as a way to maintain physical fitness and help prevent high blood pressure, diabetes and other diseases. A growing volume of research shows that exercise can also help improve symptoms of certain mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety. Exercise may also help prevent a relapse after treatment for depression or anxiety. - By Mayo Clinic Staff

Taking on a high energy training program such as spinning classes or even dance aerobics can sometimes get your mind off of what's keeping you down so try to Alter Your Mood With Turbulence Training. One day I found myself in sweat shorts and running shoes heading out the door - i-Pod blaring and water bottle in tow. Striving to change one aspect of your life, which leaves you totally unhappy will ALWAYS spill over and lead you to change the next!

Arghhhh! Just Scream!

Okay so sometimes the things I thought were normal didn't work for me. So I had to step outside of the box every now and again and try something new. I guess you could say I was at that Grrrrrrr stage where I felt I was on the right track but I wasn't...anyway...I don't know about you but things that have to do with my "brain" and the Power Of The Human Mind always interest me. You know in Hannible the guy sits at the table with his brain exsposed and I'm thinking is it good for air to get inside my head like that...HA! Get it? Air Head!!! Okay so I seem to be full of jokes but honestly, if you think of things that interest you, and you find ways to relate them to exciting, funny, or even silly moments in your life I found that my mood always seemed to get a little better.

Vortex

yes yes... Step into the light Carolann...HA! (You know you wanna laugh... go ahead let it out!)

You Are Not Alone

Sometimes the best thing to do is talk to someone who is going through your similar situation, or has been right where you are.

Striving For Success

At the end of it all, and even in the middle of my downward spiral I would worry about the day I'd have more. The day I'd have more laughs, more free moments with family, more opportunities at my job (of course this meant more money), I just wanted so much more for my life. I wanted to be Satisfied and Successful in life! After all my reads I stumbled upon something that had me thinking, "Have I been on the wrong track all this time?" No, I wasn't on the wrong track I just needed to piece everything together and put forth the effort to be successful at changing my circumstances.

Life

Just as I did you can build your ownRoad Map To a Successful Change Once you realize you have all you've ever needed for the journey ahead already within you, there won't be anything to keep you from moving forward. Why? Because, "Obstacles are nothing in life but things to step on!" Depression is just one obstacle. So take it one day at a time!

The Right Attitude and Success are yours! "Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill." - Charles Swindoll
