There aren't too many people around who are what you might call a single-name celebrity. Of course we have Madonna, Pink, Shakira and Cher amongst others. Then there is Delia! Search for Delia in google and the first results all throw up Delia Smith!

What I find remarkable about Delia Smith recipes is that they all work!
You can be a complete novice cook but if you follow her recipe to the letter you will have great results! For the more accomplished cook Delia's tendancy to state the obvious can be a bit irritatating at times but Delia never assumes that people will automatically know what to do, where she thinks there may be a doubt she explains it well, if you don't even know how to boil an egg don't worry, Delia will show you how.

Although, like most cooks, Delia Smith recognises that the best ingredients will yield the best results, Delia also knows that we can't all afford 'organic' or things like corn fed free range chickens so is happy to suggest an alternative ingredient where it is appropriate.
