Need a cheap external DVD drive?

I want an external DVD drive for my netbook... but I don't want to spend 100 bucks to get one. I have a DVD drive from a broken laptop. Soo.... I bought this Laptop CD/DVD-Rom To USB 2.0 External Outdoor Slim Case from Hong Kong for eleven bucks. I'll let you know how it works. :)

Really Cheap Case for the Mini 9

You could buy the same thing anywhere else for 10 or 15 bucks plus shipping... or you could buy this one from DealExtreme.com for $4.47 with Free Shipping.

I love mine, it adds a little extra cushion inside a larger bag and it keeps your Mini from getting scratched. It does take a little longer to get shipped from Hong Kong though. While I waited, I kept my precious netbook safe in a padded shipping envelope...

Cnet Review

The good: More configurable than other Netbooks; good battery life; XP and Linux OS options.

The bad: Some awkward keyboard compromises; no SSD options larger than 16GB.

The bottom line: Dell's entry into the Netbook market means it's time to take these low-cost, low-power PCs seriously. The Inspiron Mini 9 is an excellent example of the form, if not radically different from the competition.
