Forgetting to turn off an espresso machine can destroy it (at best!) but remembering to do so is quite easy to do and it's not always top of mind what with the busy days many of us lead. So, to totally eliminate this possibility DeLonghi have built a 3 hour auto turn off in that makes sure your machine and you stay safe.

Easy Cleaning
Just about every owner of an espresso maker will agree that looking after it and cleaning up is their least favorite part of ownership. DeLonghi have worked on this and managed to reduce the task from "dreadful" to "not so bad" by making it with a 60 ounce removable water reservoir for fast maintenance.

Cup warmer does not work very well and no way to shut it off. Users advise to get double walled cups so temperature of the product will not be an issue.

You can't have it turn on automatically at a certain time. But it only takes a few minutes to get up to temperature.

Some users complain that it's noisy...others though have said they love the sound as it's like a sports car :)

Only use non-oily, 100% Arabica beans. If you use oily beans it will clog frequently and attract rancid flavors.

Clean the brew mechanism once a week

Use spring water instead of tap water.

De-calcify the machine when it asks for it

Recommend a complete, thorough cleaning inside and out every month or two, though. Use a brush and a vacuum.
