We're used to "Texas" or we call them "Mexican" style tamales. Is the only real difference between these and Delta style the spicing?

I got to know what tamales tasted like while living in San Jose. A friend made them from scratch and I got truly hooked. Quite a difference from restaurant stuff. Come and visit my Squidoo--Come visit Mississippi and see how the Gulf Coast is coming back.
