This is about the place Deming, in New Mexico. I became the curator of this lens by mistake. I wanted to write something about W Edwards Deming. Only when I started to delete some links did I realise i was on completely the wrong page. Not sure how this started. nobody else has claimed this lens. According to the IGN movie site, Deming has been used as a location for filming the new Indiana Jones movie.
"The Deming Headlight newspaper has reported that an area near the town's Deming Municipal Airport, a former WWII training base, is being prepped for filming. A structure on the site has been painted blue and now sports a United States Air Force insignia along with the slogan "Home of the Fighter Pilot."
They speculate that Deming may be supposed to represent Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
"And anyone with a passing interest in the UFO phenomenon will know that Nellis is adjacent to the legendary top secret military installation Area 51. See where this is going? Could it be that just a tiny bit of screenwriter Jeb Stuart's scrapped 1995 script Indiana Jones and The Saucer Men From Mars has survived? Probably not, but we think it's very likely the Deming, New Mexico airport location is being setup to look like Nellis Air Force Base. That could mean UFOs, some other kind of top secret military angle on the story, or something completely mundane."
Expect more speculation about Deming after the film is released in May 2008.
