This page is dedicated to great scene members all around the world. To brilliant minded who show their best efforts to create the legendary demoscene since computers invented.

Before the internet, even before the CD-ROM discs (Have you ever tried to load Gunship with a dataset?) there was a time that we used to enjoy watching amazing demos and even making them.
It takes weeks, sometime months to create a demo (FYI "One Night Demo" took almost a year to finish it) but at the end, what a pleasant feeling that you see your creation became a success.
We work all together; gfx artists creates logos, fonts, images pixel by pixel, musicians put their talents on unforgettable demo musics, coders pushes their limits to find ways to amaze us in front of our monitors. Swappers, spreaders, editors, and other members of the group were the backbone of the scene. They kept sceners up to date with journals, charts, parties and demo or music packs.
Here goes the legendary groups of all the time (no rank)
Rebels, Scoopex, Kefrens, TRSI, Spaceballs, Iris, Vision Factory, Bamiga Sector One, Crusaders, Zombie Boys, Silents, Alcatraz, Angels, Cryptoburners, Brainstorm, Level 4, Bronx, Phenomena, Fairlight, Anarchy, Razor 1911, Budbrain, Dreamdealers, Melon Design, Majic 12, Wild Copper Crew.... are just a few of many great demo groups.

The party was located at west of Frankfurt, Germany in March 21-24 2008. Breakpoint is world's biggest demoscene event since 2002. This year sceners from more then 30 nations were gathered and shared the fun for 4 full days non-stop. Here is the link to Breakpoint '08 official page.

You can find lots of informations, links, photos, official party results and more. This year's main sponsors were Intel and NVidia. NVidia is also main sponsor for upcoming event NVision. After doors were open Friday afternoon sceners started to warm up and get ready for the competitions. Great musician Reyn Ouwehand (MYTH, Unreal, Last Ninja 3) performed live on Friday night. It was also deadline for music and gfx competitors. If you want to hear Reyn Ouwehand's music; then here is the link to his re-performance of Green Beret by Martin Galway on YouTube.

You can also listen his remixes and albums on Last FM. At the album "Galway Remixed" he re-mixed some of the best sid tracks by Martin Galway (Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Arkanoid, Parallax, Green Beret)

During the second day sceners joined great seminars; such for coders musicians and gfx artists. (Swappers and spreaders are more interested on a seminar called "Copyrights in Germany and beyond"). Then competitions started Saturday afternoon with NVScene presentation which an event will be held in San Jose/California on August 25-27. You can register on NVision page online. Prices $50.00 for general admission and $65.00 for sceners. You can save $15.00 if you register before June 1st. Here you can find more information about NVScene.

First competition held for Executable Music on New School. Twelve competitors from various groups like Rebels, Tristar, Brainstorm put their best on the table. After deadlines for 4K intros and animations; other events held on the party. In the night legendary musician Romeo Knight/TRSI and Xerxes/Brainstorm team up then they performed live. On Sunday, sceners compete and joined other seminars such as Virtual Reality, Instanced Tessellation in DX10, Where Hacking Meets Demoscene (Check out YouTube videos),Ultimate Demotool. By Monday morning was the end of voting. Soon after prize giving and closing ceremony, another great party was over. You didn't make it to the party? You all covered, no need to worry. Here some hot stuff...
