Denali is the biggest mountain in the world if you only count the rise of the mountain. This means Denali sits on a lower elevation, while Mount Everest sits on a higher plateau, making the total elevation higher than Denali. Denali has about a 6,000 foot lead if you on Everest for base rise.

- I've only taken bus tour one time, but my friend lived at the Park when I was younger. I'm from a tiny town within eye sight of Denali so went up that way fairly often.

- I've been to Denali and it is wonderful. It is also amazing how it can hide in the clouds and one minute you see it and the next you don't. Beautiful scenery!! It's been several years since I was there, thanks for bringing back good memories!
