- Hi, I'm heading to Dennis, MA with my sister and some friends next week and have never been there before. We're staying on Old Bass River Rd at the home of the parents of one of the girls coming. We're hoping to get some tips on some of the great places to visit, sites to see and bars/pubs/restaurants to relax in. If anyone has info. and/or suggestions, we Canadians would welcome the tips. Thanks in advance for any input!

- I'd suggest heading to Chatham Center down the road along Route 28. There's also the Monomoy Island cruises that head out of Chatham where you can spot seals. Route 6A in Dennis has Scargo Observation Tower, which has great views of the town and out to ocean. The beach/marsh at Bass Hole (also along 6A) is very scenic.
For food, I have to admit, I'm not too big on the restaurants in town. There are some really good ones in Chatham, Orleans, Wellfleet, and Eastham to the east/north, and plenty to choose from in Hyannis to the west (about 20 minutes away). Trip Advisor puts Captain Frosty's Fish & Chips, Sesuit Harbor Cafe, Scargo Cafe, and Chapin's Restaurant at the very top of the list. I have heard the Sundae School in Dennisport is really good.
Anyone else have any suggestions? Enjoy your trip!
