- Clean external surfaces of handpiece.
- Insert bur into chuck.
- Clean handpiece internally as follows.
- Spray handpiece cleaner or cleaner/lubricant into drive air turbine for 1 to 2 seconds.
- Operate handpiece within a paper towel or other cover to purge used lubricant and debris.
- Repeat the spray/operation procedure until expelled fluid is absolutely clear.
- Wipe external surfaces to remove expelled fluid.
- Operate handpiece for 3-5 seconds, repeating until all fluid has been expelled.
- Sterilize handpiece according to manufacturer's instruction.
- Cool handpiece to room temperature.
- Apply two drops of lubricant into drive air tube.
- Operate handpiece for 5 to 10 seconds within paper towel or other cover to purge excess lubricant.
- Wipe external surfaces.
- Handpiece is ready for use.

Bearing Lubrication Selection
While PKB does not sell the lubrication for dental handpieces, they can help you select the right lubrication for your dental and medical needs.The bearings you purchase are ready for use: lubricated with a food-safe and autoclave resistant grease.
Shields for the ball bearings are optional, which protect the bearings during operation and also allow the bearing to be relubricated after the sterilization process.
