Do you need gum surgery?
Your gum tissue provides a frame or form to shape to the top of your tooth. If your gums are compromised, your smile is less attractive than it could be. Gum disease (gingavitis) can cause your teeth to become loose. In bad cases of gum disease you will need to see a specialist called a periodontist. Periodontal plastic surgery, can correct almost any deformity or gingivitus problems. As we age, our gums may shrink and recede which makes our teeth look longer. If your teeth appear to be too short, gum sculpting is often the solution. When do you need a dental bridge?
