Don't you hate it when you go on vacation to a location like Denver, Colorado and you return home - only to find out you missed out on something you really would have liked to see?
It happens all the time - but using a guide like this can help you make sure you know all of the hot spots, as well as the destinations that are off the beaten path - the cool things only locals know about that they don't share to the tourist crowd.
The sun shines 300 days a year. Perfect weather, a friendly atmosphere - you couldn't ask for a better destination to visit or find a home to settle your family. But where you go may depend on why you're there.
Are you a part of the young, hip crowd? If so, then you may want to plant yourself right in the middle of LoDo - the Lower Downtown district ripe with nightlife, pubs, and rooftop cafes.
If you're a music fan, you can clamor for the Red Rocks, which offers outdoor concerts with a view of the breathtaking Rocky Mountain range. There's musical entertainment all over Denver - in each district.
If you're a shopping fanatic, then you'll HAVE to make a pit stop to Rockmount Ranch Wear and see 106 year-old Papa Jack while you're in Denver, Colorado.
He's an old-timer who churned out the first Western shirt that had diamond buttons and his customers include rock stars and presidents!
Other districts have many malls and shops to satisfy your fashion cravings, too.
Many destinations have restaurants, nightclubs, and amusement parks. But not every place in America provides a calming, educational, and spiritual outlet like Denver, Colorado.
Some people don't want to do the normal things others are attracted to, like biking and skiing - they want more adventure with their outdoor pursuits. If this describes you, then you might want to consider taking a hot air balloon or helicopter tour of the Denver, Colorado area.
It may be that you love the indoors more than you do outside activities. If so, the art in Denver, Colorado will whet your appetite and have you clamoring for more. Stop by the Denver Art Museum and satisfy your senses with a myriad of shapes and color schemes.

The City and County of Denver (pronounced /?d?nv?/) is the capital and the most populous city of Colorado, in the United States. Denver is located in the South Platte River Valley on the High Plains just east of the Front Range of the Southern Rocky Mountains. The Denver downtown district is located immediately east of the confluence of Cherry Creek with the South Platte River, approximately east of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Denver is nicknamed the Mile-High City because its official elevation is exactly one mile (5280 feet or 1609.344 m) above sea level. The 105th meridian west of Greenwich passes through Denver Union Station, making it the reference point for the Mountain Time Zone.
The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of the City and County of Denver was 588,349 on 2007-07-01, making it the 26th most populous U.S. city. The 10-county Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area had an estimated 2007 population of 2,464,866 and ranked as the 21st most populous U.S. metropolitan statistical area, and the 12-county Denver-Aurora-Boulder Combined Statistical Area had an estimated 2007 population of 2,998,878 and ranked as the 17th most populous U.S. metropolitan area. The 18-county Front Range Urban Corridor had a estimated 2007 population of 4,166,855. It is also the second largest city in the Mountain West after Phoenix. The city claims to have the 10th largest central business district in the United States.
