Depression the deep dark hole of ourselves

I'm doing this lens because I suffer from depression, one of my best friends killed himself & my grandfather killed himself. I also have a lot of friends who are depressed. It's a disease. We can't snap out of it. It hurts. I really think people who suffer from depression are just too nice & too caring & the world is too hard for us/them.

I was depressed for a while - the cause? I'd forgotten to follow my joy/heart. There may be manifold causes of depression I don't know about, but I believe a chief cause is the condition of pleasing others before pleasing ourselves; somewhere along the line we've got to fight for our freedom, be true to ourselves, at least depression allows us to take stock and start afresh. Although it might seem otherwise in the depths of depression, there's good in all things,
