Derek Gehl Review

Derek Gehl took over from the hugely successful Corey Rudl a few years ago when Corey passed away in an unfortunate accident. Corey had established himself as a talented marketer online, and had built up a stable of very successful products. Not only did Derek succeed him, but I would say, the products are even better.

I joined the Internet Entrepreneur's Club a few months ago. I was in the process of putting my first products up online, and I was having trouble with the sales letter. I felt it was okay, and it was converting, but I knew it could be better. More than that, I wanted some 'expert' feedback to let me know if I was on the right track.

I'd spent some time studying copywriting techniques and structure from several very good copywriters. But without feedback, it's hard to know if you've absorbed things as well as you think you may. To put it bluntly, my confidence wasn't very high. And I was about to start just going over and over it again, potentially wasting time I could be doing other things like driving traffic to my site.

Around this time, I received a slew of emails from internet marketers, some quite well known, others I really hadn't heard of. They were all offering coaching programs. Reading their sales letters, I began to see the benefits of having coaching. The problem was, you tended to have to spend at least $500. That was out of my budget at the time.

Then Derek's offer of a $2.95 trial for IEC came along. I was a bit skeptical, because I remembered Corey's products from years ago. And whilst it was good, it didn't seem to click for me. And because Derek was carrying on the company for Corey, I associated him with it.

But I knew I needed some feedback and help. And at $2.95, I thought, why not give it a try. I can do without my coffee if I need to for one day!

This gets me to what exactly is offered in the Internet Entrepreneur Club.

My favorite part is where you can ask Derek's team of expert copywriters, and internet marketing specialists, any questions you want. They'll do a site review - really quickly too. I got excellent feedback on my sales letter, and the lady took me through this question and answer exchange on the forum till I really understood what was going on, and how to implement the changes I needed to. This is worlds away from just reading a book or ebook where you might thing you understand something, and are putting it into practice, when really you're not.

Talk about personalized too. I mean, they're taking you through exactly what you need to do for your site, or to solve your marketing problem. This is huge for me. It really cuts down the learning curve. How many times have we put things off because of doubt or questions about the implementation of a process? Or gone on with something when it really was bad and needed fixing, but we just didn't realize what was wrong!

This isn't the only benefit for members. There are weekly calls with different IEC experts, where you can ask them questions in person!

And every month, Derek interviews other people who have really made it online in a teleseminar you can't get anywhere else.

All in all, this is great value for what it is. It's like a coaching program, as well as a study group. Not only can you learn a lot by asking questions yourself, but you pick up a huge amount by reading the postings from other members where the experts are helping them.

In short, the Internet Entrepreneur Club has something for both beginner and intermediate marketers alike.

The IEC Is A Good Partner Whilst Building Your Membership Site

Derek Gehl's IEC would be excellent if you were starting a membership site, and were unsure of any part in the process. Whilst the ebook in The Easy Membership Toolkit covers everything from researching your topic, through exactly what you'll need to do to set up a really good membership site, it doesn't cover things in detail like creating a sales letter. That's such a big topic, and a little outside the focus of the ebook.

So, if you're unsure of your sales letter, or the effectiveness of your follow-up email campaign for prospects, or your lead generation report, or any other aspect of your marketing arsenal, the IEC is a fast way to get very specific answers and feedback.
