He graduated from the Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990. After completing an internal medicine internship and a preventative medicine fellowship at the University of Tennessee, he completed a dermatology residency program at Nova Southeastern University. In 2003, he became Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.
Under the leadership of Dr. Vitulli, his dermatological practice is governed by a strong pledge to medical ethics. To uphold this pledge, patient concerns are listened to very carefully and then their condition is explained in understandable language, and treatment alternatives are discussed caringly.
