In his 3 seasons in the NBA, Deron Williams is developing into one of the best point guards in the NBA. He has developed a court awareness that can help improve the effectiveness of all of his team mates on the basketball court. He is quick and has the ability to drive past defenders to take the ball to the hoop when no team mates are open for a pass. The Utah Jazz lost a valuable player at when John Stockton retired but just might have found an almost equal replacement with Deron Williams.

Deron Williams Leads Utah Past Houston 

Game 6 at Utah, Deron and the Jazz ended the first round of the playoffs with a decisive win over Houston. Despite Tracy McGrady's 40 points, Deron and the Jazz destroyed Houston lead by Deron's Barrage of 3 pointers.

Deron Williams scored 25 points and made six 3 point shots to close out the series against Houston and send the Rockets fishing. Deron set a Jazz playoff record by hitting five 3 point shots in the second half of the game. Now it's time to face Kobe and the Lakers.

The Run Ends with LA 

Deron Williams tried to carry his team but playing against Kobe, the Lakers and the officials was more than he could do all by himself. It might have been a different story if an all-star teammate of his had showed up for more than just one game of the series.

When you combine the lack of production from an all-star teammate and the bad calls from the officials that when in Kobe's favor, it was too much for Deron and the Jazz to beat.
