Let me not brag you about how important Search engine optmization (SEO) is important for your website. Everyone knows it so there is no point discussing the same old thing. What i am trying to (note I may not be all perfect. I am trying) is to explain how you could do SEO another way without concentrating on Building one hundred million links to your website and if you had to how you could do it in a day.

The point is clear. SEO (Search engine Optimization) techniqes and tactics keep changing and this one is simple, Straight forward, white hat technique. Implement it , (take a day off for it) Track it Tweak it and forget it (for a month that is).

One Day a month in total for your website and Actually you could do the whole thing the second month in minutes or maximum of an hour. No kidding... keep watching.

I just checked out Matt Cutts (Sorry if i spelt his name wrong)website and he has an amazing observation there. His blog got crawled in an hour. I tried it on mine . VOILA... its true. Blogs, Blogs, Blogs. Thats the Marketing word you hear through out the internet marketing seminars these days. Everyone knows what blogs are and everyone wants to make the best of it.

Being a web design company owner i never knew what to post on my blog initially. I just wasnt getting anywhere with it. I realized that i had to start up somewhere and i did it by doing a wordpress blog. Simple Sweet and BORING. The fact that it was boring did not bother me at least initially. I was testing the waters. With over 20 posts i figured it was time to check out what was happening to my blog.

All pages listed. And amazingly fast. Then came a series of ideas and realizations on what mistakes i had done.

Blogs are great marketing tools if you know how to use it. As an affiliate marketer i had figured out using Blogger/Blogspot (The google Blog) was a great idea and a good start. I wanted to get noticed by google in the first place. Great start but Wordpress gives you the same functionalities and more. So for you i should recommend Wordpress.

Blogs on sub directories tend to do a bit bad as compared to the Blogs on Sub Domains. Create a sub domain for your blog and this applies for forums too.

Keep the title filled with keywords. This is the Juicy part most search engines like. Keep it nice and filled. Let them chomp on it. Usually not much of visitors read the title tag once they are on your site. But they will surely read it when it is on the search results. So keep it nice and readable

The description tag... This one is important. If you can get the description tag BLANK in Blogger its better. Leave it blank and make sure that the first paragraph of your Blog post is rich with keywords. The description tag will be filled in automatically

ALWAYS remember. Write your blog posts for the End user. People should be able to read it. There should be something for the person reading it. What is it that you are offering him? What does he need. Get to know your customer and give them just that. So make your First paragraph REALLY CATCHY. You dont want them to leave before they even read the second paragraph.

For affiliate marketers.... Never have ads on your blog posts except for your affiliate link. If they have to leave your site, they have to leave to the affiliate link (or alternatively type something on the address bar or Close it altogether) Ads drive customers away. You would not like your website to drive traffic to other sites, you want to make money so be careful on where your traffic is going.

In general... all that you require for a blog to rank well is the title tag and a great description. Once you have made a post........ COME ON ITS NOT DONE YET. DONT JUST SIT THERE... PING IT !!!

Yes ping it. Use pingoat, pingomatic, feedshark or anything you can get your hands on to ping your blog. Let the world know you have the blog updated. Sit back for the day and relax. (You have to post another blog tomorrow and if you feel like working you are welcome to do your next post)
