E-Shopper Newcastle - Inception

As most of the smaller towns in South Africa, Newcastle also have a limited supply of technology solutions providers more specifically Internet related businesses. www.designaweb.co.za is not only a web design/development company but also involved in 3 other businesses that falls within the Hospitality Trade as well as Clubbing also Food and Beverage industry, we have been doing this for years more or less 16 years that is.

During the past couple of months we done some research and came to the conclusion that Newcastle is falling behind when it comes to trading online or lets rather say e-commerce and one of the reasons are that business owners in town has no/limited budget for marketing or simply a lack of information, they do not know the power and potential of the internet and IM(internet Marketing).

Some businesses have taken the plunge and acquired a web site, but that is that and unfortunately a web site is not a magical marketing gimmick, you will not suddenly start making sales because you have a site. There seems to be a misconception about this among local business owners.

www.designaweb.co.za realized that this situation needs some degree of re-dressing. So, after hours of research and many years of internet marketing experience (First Published web site in 1997), We compiled a seminar to educate business owners. The details will be published in the local media and business owners will also be presented with invitations.
