Fashionista dog loves cheetah prints

Teddy's top designer cheetah print gifts for dogs

Teddy is a fashionista Shih Tsu dog in love with the cheetah animal print design. He wants me to decorate the house and insists on cheetah prints every where from bedroom items to toys. Teddy swears he has the heart of a Jersey dog and points to his favorite pillow for proof.

Today Teddy is fixated on redecorating the dogs' bedroom. He's found the Cheetah print design on all sorts of things. I, however, would prefer a lot less cheetah in the house. Teddy wants your support. Do you love cheetah prints? Would you decorate your bedroom or home with big splashes of cheetah print designs?

Animal prints continue to be major fashion statements
The fashion-obsessed canine is not alone in his love for animal prints. Of course, he insists that any animal print fur be fake and absolutely not be from a real animal. While I may not share Teddy's taste, especially this sudden passion for cheetah paw prints, the use of animal prints has a long history. Teddy continues to explain to me that as fashion and style go, animal prints are great signs of wealth and status. He simply doesn't understand why I can't get that. Kings and queens throughout time have been wrapped in animal print fur. He even growls something about cheetah and leopard prints being a major 1960s fashion style.

Fashion diva dog shares his cheetah print gift ideas
While I will admit a continued fascination for that reality show Jerseylicous and acknowledge that I am probably contributing to the corruption of a canine's fashion sense by allowing Teddy to watch his favorite fashion icon, Olivia Blois Sharpe, every week, that does not mean I share Teddy's sense of style. A little bit of animal print goes a long way but Teddy totally disagrees. It's long live cheetah paws with him. Do you agree?

Read on and you'll be a party to Teddy's great animal print discoveries--cheetah-style. Plan return visits, too. According to Teddy, there's a ton of cheetah print items that would be perfect gifts for dogs and humans alike and he intends to share them all--especially, given the season, TOYS!

Teddy's Toy Request: #1 - A mini-hideout

Pet hideaway, dog travel carrier or pet toy bin?

Teddy is a very creative Shh Tsu, especially when he wants something. He insists that he would have a lot of playful uses for this hideout--like any child would. He said it would be a great place to hide his chewies from Waco, the Great Pyrenees, and his treats from Freddie, the Maltese.

He also reminded me how often he had to be put into time-out and how he thought this would be a much better punishment than his crate.

Really, Teddy?

Teddy's Toy Request: #2 A cheetah print rocker recliner

Is a rocker recliner for children a suitable toy for dogs?

Cheetah print recliner for children, kid recliner
You and I know this rocker recliner for children is not a toy...but try telling that to an alpha Shih Tsu who thinks he's the leader of the pack. Teddy started howling over this recliner chair the minute he found it on Amazon and nudged it over to the top of his wishlist. He says it's perfect for his room and he store some treats in the cup holder.

Teddy insists that the chair is also a great toy. He sees it as a bridge--really, he does. He says it's the perfect place for him, Freddie and Honeybunn to play King of the Mountain--canine style. He says that while looking up at me with is big, round black eyes, all innocent of course, and then nods to my rocker recliner in the den and insinuates that they wouldn't have need of that one anymore.

Teddy's Toy Request #3 - Plush Flopsie Cheetah toy

Cheetah stuffed animal, plush toys, stuffed animals for kids and dogs

Aurora Plush Flopsie Cheetah toy
Teddy says he's found the perfect stuffed animal toy and it's in his beloved cheetah print. He knows I have a hard time finding toys at the pet store for several reasons: 1) Riley the Cocker Spaniel can slit the seam on any stuffed toy and slide out that blasted squeaker in under 20 seconds; 2) Waco the Great Pyrenees chews the corners and ends and slips the stuffing out in no time. Try to find a decent dog's toy that doesn't have a squeaker in it these days.

It's durable, full of of beans, and doesn't have a squeaker or stuffing. What more could you want for a dog's toy or a child's?

OMG! Don't you just LUV Cheetah?

Do you like Cheetah prints? Should Teddy get his way?

Loading

Absolutely! Cheetah is THE look and Teddy has great style.

TheLittleCardShop says:

Yes! they are so cute!

Waxing-Lyrical says:

Hey, why not? There's no cheatin' lovin' cheetah :)

Uh, no, I don't think so.

kiwinana71 says:

Don't get me wrong, I like Cheetah prints, but I wouldn't design my house with it, maybe just a rug on the couch would be enough.

Cheetah Hair Dryer

The little Shih Tsu has been jumping up and down ever since he pawed his way online and discovered this Cheetah hair dryer. Guess what he wants now? (I should dump the perfectly good one we have so Teddy can be groomed in style?)

Cheetah design hairdryer debate

Shit Tsu dog demands his own hair dryer, war rages

We are apparently waging war here over the whole animal print hair dryer thing. I already have a massive Conair hair dryer I use for grooming but Teddy wants the cheetah print hair dryer and he insists he be kept in the dog room, too. What do you say?

And I get the idea that Teddy is not up for sharing it, either. Aargh, he's such a diva.

Should Teddy get his own cheetah print hair dryer? Really?

Loading

Of course. He is a fashion-conscious diva and must live in canine style.

TheLittleCardShop says:

of course he will feel so fancy!

No, I don't think so. Sounds like Teddy has enough cheetah paw prints already.

Further evidence of Teddy's cheetah print craziness

Animal print obsession hits the nail salons

Yes, the dog's gone cheetah print crazy. Get this: He wants me to paint my 96 year old mother's nails with cheetah paws. I mean, really. Cheetah paw prints on my mother's proper British nails?

I don't think so, Teddy.

Should I paint cheetah paw prints on my mom's nails?

Yes, make Teddy happy and give your mom cheetah nails.

WordCustard says:

Just for laughs, I'm saying yes. :) Sorry, Vikk's mother.

No, it doesn't sound like a very good idea to me.

Hey -- Teddy deserves the best. I think he should have the Cheetah light switch cover, at least in his bedroom. The hair dryer is another matter -- you'd have to take a poll among the other dogs in the house to see if they agree with Teddy's choice! :)
  • vikksimmons Nov 24, 2011 @ 10:01 am | delete
Yeah, that light switch does look pretty cool. Do you think it will go with Southwester style decor?
