Need Ideas For Tattoo Designs?

Trying to find a design to use for your tattoo is easy for some people and harder for others. Take it from me when I say that it can be difficult. You will either find that you will have too many designs that you want or none at all.

I recently got a tattoo and I told myself that I was going to get a claddagh. This is a celtic design for love and relationships. Because I am married I thought it only fitting to show just how much I love my husband. But when I got to the tattoo parlor I had a change in plans.

I wanted to stay a bit simple and didn't want to spend too much money. Yes, money was a big factor for me because I hate to waste it. Also I just couldn't imagine myself with a big red heart plastered on me. So instead I opted for an oriental symbol that meant 'dream'. This symbol was very true to my nature and so I knew it was right for me. It was also very simple and not too big. I had it placed on my wrist and now I am very happy with it and do not regret it at all.

Use A Celtic Design For Your Tattoo

When choosing a design for your tattoo you can either go very basic or you can go very intricate. Some of the most intricate designs are in the form of Celtic tattoos. In case you don't know Celtic tattoos are Irish symbolisms and there are literally hundreds to choose from.

Choosing a Celtic design for your tattoo is becoming quite popular among people. The two most popular designs are the Celtic knot and the claddaugh. The claddaugh is a symbol for love and is usually found in the form of a ring. The design is a pair of hands holding a heart with a crown on top of it. When the heart if pointing towards your heart it means that you have opened your heart to love and someone has accepted it. This is great for a couple who are married and going strong.

The Celtic knot can be found in many different varieties - which means that there are many designs to choose from giving you more options. Each knot can symbolize something different. You can either choose a knot because you like the way that it is designed or you can research the different ones and choose one that best reflects you.

Keep in mind that both types of these tattoos can be very intricate. The Celtic knot can be left black and white - but the claddaugh looks better when you have filled it in with color. However, there are other Celtic designs that you can choose from that include creatures, religious, tribal, cross, and astrological designs.

Choose A Flower Tattoo Design

There are literally hundreds of designs for women - but we are going to deal with some of the more basic designs - flowers. Honestly I am not into the butterflies and because they are so popular they aren't very unique. All the time I see women who have gotten a butterfly tattooed on their back. Which makes me opt for the potentially elegant and rather beautiful flower tattoo designs.

There are hundreds of flowers in the world - but usually there is only one in particular that we love. For many it is the rose. This is a very elegant design and would look great if you fill it in with color. You could do a design that was not too big or small and have the thorns on the edges of it. You might even be able to add a dew drop on it to make it more beautiful.

I know one friend who wanted to get a daisy tattoo on her back. It was very simple and her favorite flower. Plus it was a true sign of the kind of person she was. Whatever design you choose will show off your character and who you are to people around you. If you put a skull on your arm people are going to assume you are a punk. If you have a beautiful white flower then they will see that you are gentle and kind.

All you need to do is know what type of flower you love and where you would like it to go. You could even add on to it. Maybe put someone's name underneath or a birth date. Be creative and you will enjoy it that much more!

What Are Tongue Tattoos?

When I chose my tattoo I wanted to make sure that I chose something that would reflect the type of person I was. That is why I chose an oriental symbol that means 'dream'. I also placed it on my wrist so because I wanted people to know that I was not afraid of showing it off.

There are many other places that you can put a tattoo - but usually it is not the tongue. Or is it? Tongue tattoos is definitely a way for people to express themselves.

Because it can be hard to apply tattoos to your tongue you will not be able to choose any design that is intricate. There is only a limited amount of space on the tongue so there is no room for detailed lines.

However, it is a great way to experiment with some crazy colors. Some people will place a smiley face, hearts, or other cute designs on their tongue so that when they talk everyone will get a chance to see it.

Tongue tattoos can be drawn on a slight part of the tongue or you can place it all over the whole thing. Most people who have tongue piercing will choose a tongue tattoo to accentuate the piercing and draw more attention to themselves.

If you are considering one keep in mind that they take awhile to finish up because their size limitations because the tongue must be held in one place and hold still to make sure that it is done properly. These types of tattoos are fairly new - which means that certain artists will not necessarily be able to do it for you.

Don't Know What Design To Get?

Use A Temporary Tattoo To Help Make The Decision

I love it when people catch me and ask me what my tattoo implies. When I made the decision to receive a tattoo I didn't wish the hurt that arrived along with it - but I desired it in a spot where people could see it. In other words I wanted to display it off and express to them that I wasn't embarrassed of what I did.

That is why it comes as no surprise to me that the second question people will ask me is how painful it was. For some people this is the one thing that holds them back from getting a tattoo of their dreams. No one wants to deal with the pain of it and the fact that it is stamped permanently - or at least semi-permanently - on your body is a big deal for most of us.

I understand the hesitation and have a good remedy to help you through this. In fact this little trick will also help you to decide what type of tattoo you want to get. The solution lies in temporary tattoos. Temporary tattoos can be purchased for less than $5 if you buy the kind that washes off in a day.

They come in a variety of style and allow you to have fun with tattoos without going through the pain of them. Try them on your wrist, ankle, back, arm, and any other place you would consider putting a real tattoo and ask yourself if you could see yourself sporting one for many years. Some people learn that having a tattoo doesn't suit them while others learn just how cool they would be with one.

If you are struggling to find a design that you love than I recommend you have henna. Henna is a more expensive and more extravagant form of temporary tattoos. The henna is drawn onto your skin - but don't worry it won't hurt. If done properly it can last up to a month or longer. The designs in henna are more broad and you can get them in different sizes.
