Desire HD - Brilliant Gadget Phone

The HTC Desire HD also has a back. I'm not sure why HTC feel it is so important to remind of this, but maybe it is to point out the SD card can be hot-swapped and the 8MP camera also has duel LED flashes...

The shell is one piece of tasty aluminiun that over time takes on wonderfull scratces, allowing the phone to slowly take on a mor charming and lived in appearance. They can be quite slippery these new shiny, smooth gadgets and they don't bounce well.

The 4.3" screen is brilliant for the internet and for navigation, and for movies and photo's..... get the point.. it's big.
But not so big that it won't pop in your pocket. It's still a skinny little fella and very worthy of some apparel real estate.

The new version of sense UI is incredible with quite a few extra little features. There is no point listing all the apps as being open source and an Andoid phone you can always get those from the market anyway.

HTC does build in some of its own great widgets for mail, facebook, weather and the like, plus the sense UI is one of the best interfaces available on any phone.

Perfect for Navigation..
With zero wait time, zero dead spots and zero data roaming, the HTC Desire HD is perfect for viewing and using maps. The large screen shows the route clearly and the maps automatically turn to give you instant orientation. When using turn-by-turn navigation, your map stays on screen even when calls come in. It can even show you a helicopter preview of the rest of your trip when you're stuck at a red light.

The HTC Desire HD runs Android 2.2, for optimised memory and speed, with full support for Flash 10.1

There's 1.5GB of storage on board, plus a microSD slot
