Desserts Decorated With Candy Canes

Turn plane Rice Krispies Treats into cute candy cane treats. Use string licorice to decorate.

An easy no bake treat. These are also great to add to hot chocolate! Visit my candy cane dipped marshmallow lens to learn how to get your candy caned to stick to the marshmallows.

Ingredients:
1 pkg fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients to make brownies)
24 candy canes
10 oz chocolate-flavored almond bark or any other type of melting chocolate

Directions:
1. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions; pour batter into a pan sprayed lightly with nonstick cooking spray and bake according to package.
2. Cool 20 minutes or until still slightly warm.
3. While your brownies are cooling, place some candy canes in a plactic bag and crush using a meat tenderizer: set aside.
4. Using a scoop, scoop brownies and pack into the scoop. Then, using your hands, form each scoop into smooth round balls.
5. Insert a candy cane into each brownie ball.
6. In the microwave, melt the chocolate bark according to the package directions.
7. Dip each brownie into the melted chocolate; cover the entire brownie; sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
8. Place brownies on parchment paper and let stand until set.

Use candy canes to decorate martinis.

For hot chocolate, replace the spoon with a candy cane.

This is and easy treat to make. Dip the pretzel in melted chocolate and then roll in crushed candy canes: place on waxed paper. Place them in a cellophane bag and add a bow and you have a nice little homemade gift.
