Detail sanders and so much more!

Dremel 4000Are you in the market for a detail sander? If so, have you ever considered a rotary tool kit? These kits have the added benefits of a wide variety of attachments, much more than a traditional detail sander. Skil 7300 Octo Review

A review of the latest finishing sander from Skil

This great little sander from Skil is the latest in a long line of successful detail sanders. It is lightweight (only 3.3 pounds), versatile (8 different attachments come with it), and easy to use. The attachments can be switched in and out easily, with no tools necessary. The nose of the 7300 can be adjusted to three different positions, allowing you to customize your finish in corners as much as possible. The built-in worklight is a nice touch for tight spots, but we can probably live without it. The dust collection unit is nice, and easy to detach and empty. The sleek shape and design is very comfortable in your hand, and will keep you sanding for hours with no discomfort. This sander is very reasonably priced, and will be a valuable tool in your shop for years to come.

Pros:
Comfortable design
Versatility (attachments and nose positions)
Price

Cons:
Not much power
No carrying case

Bosh Detail Sander Review

A review of the 1294VSK detail sander manufatured by Bosch Inc.

The Bosch brand is one of the most respected names in the tool industry. When it comes to detail sanders, there is no exception. The Bosch 1294VSK detail sander packs plenty of power (some detail sanders just buzz) into a small sturdy (some sanders like the Dremel can feel flimsy) package. The soft grip handle is very comfortable, and the different pad attachments change in and out quickly, with no tools needed. The adjustable pad has 3 positions, which extend the life of your sandpaper and the pad itself. Buying the entire Bosch kit can really save you a bundle. It comes with 20 sanding sheets, a polishing pad, extension plate, 2 narrow extensions, and a plastic case. If you are still not sure, the 1-year warranty that comes with purchase should put any fears to rest. This truly is a great sander and we trust that you will be satisfied with it.

Pros:
Good value
Sturdy
Powerful
Comfortable grip
Attachments come on/off with ease
1-year warranty

Cons:
Gets hot after long periods of use
No dust collection bag
