Deviled Eggs Preparation
Let's Make Some Deviled Eggs Now !
Ok, now I said this was simple, so simple is what you are going to get...You are going to need 12 minutes of cooking time, and just 5 minutes of preparation time.
Step #1: Place 12 eggs in a large pot. Fill the pot with enough water to cover the eggs. Add your 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and then bring the water to a boil. Once the water boils, reduce the heat to a simmer, and then cook for 12 minutes. When finished, drain the hot water from the pot, and place the pot in the sink. Run cold water over the eggs unti they have cooled.
Step #2: Peel the eggs. Once peeled run them under water to remove any small pieces of egg shell that may remain. With a sharp knife, but the boiled eggs in half, length-wise. Cut them straight down the middle, so that you have two even halves. Remove the yellow yolks, and place them in a mixing bowl. Repeat these steps for all 12 eggs.
Step #3: Place all your egg white halves in your egg trays. If you don't have egg trays, you can arrange them in the bottom of a large Tupperware container. Lay them flat with the cut sides up, so that you will easily be able to fill them later.
Step #4: It is time to add the remaining ingredients into the mixing bowl with your egg yolks. Add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons of fresh chopped dill, 6 tablespoons of light mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons of pickle relish, a dash of salt, a pinch of ground black pepper, and a couple of dashes of hot pepper sauce. Now mash them all together until you have a good consistent mix of the ingredients.
Step #5: Transfer your mix into a large ZipLock baggie. Snip off one corner of this baggie with a pair of scissors, and squeeze the contents of the ZipLock baggie through the hole to fill your eggs. This little trick will help you fill your eggs so that it will look like it was done by a pro.
Step #6: Refrigerate your eggs until it is time to serve them.
Step #7: Enjoy your party or gathering, and your Deviled Eggs!

How Long Can You Leave Deviled Eggs Out?
Deviled Eggs should be kept cool until serving. If you will be transporting them for some distance, or taking them to an outdoor event, then take precautions. They should be packed on ice or commercial coolant bags in an insulated bag or cooler to keep them cold (40°F. or lower). This will keep them refrigerator- cold as long as the ice lasts or the coolant remains almost at freezing. So, how long will deviled eggs stay good if kept in the refridgerator?
If deviled eggs are covered with cling wrap or saran wrap, you can keep deviled eggs safely for 24 hours. An airtight covering in addition to the saran wra[p is also a good bet.
So if you are leaving them out at a party, how long will they keep?
They can stay out for hours at a party, but there is a trick that you can use to help keep them fresh. Try setting your egg tray on top of a bowl of ice. The cold transferred from the ice to the egg tray will keep them straight-out-of-the-fridge-fresh!
When the party is over, dispose of any left over eggs. Remember the old saying, "When in doubt ... Throw it out ... ". Keep in mind that the deviled eggs contain mayonnaise, which can spoil.

Betty's Devilish Deviled Eggs Recipe
In this video, Betty prepares her version of deviled eggs. They are quick and easy to make and are a comfort food that often gets overlooked! Ingredients: 4 eggs 1/4 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons pickle relish salt and pepper paprika Using a medium to large pot, bring enough water to a boil to cover the 4 eggs. When the water boils, place each egg carefully with a utensil into the water. When the water returns to a boil, cook the eggs, with the water bubbling lightly for 15 minutes. Remove the pot from the stove and drain off the boiling water from the eggs. Now, shake the pot, so that the eggs are cracked against the sides of the pot. Immediately cover with cool water to stop the cooking of the eggs. The eggs will be cool enough to handle, so you now can easily remove the shell of each egg. Slice each egg in half horizontally. Dig out the half yolk of each egg and place them into a small mixing bowl. Add the mayonnaise, pickle relish, and salt and pepper to taste, and mix well. Stuff each of the 8 hollow cooked egg whites with the yolk mixture. Sprinkle paprika on top (to your taste). Serve! They will disappear fast!!!
