Dexter Morgan's Best Quotes

I love Dexter because he is always in self dialogue and this is where we find some of the best quotes. His nonchalant attitude about what he does and his relationship with his dark passenger always add to making for some very ironic and also iconic quotes.

From Dexter Season One:

Dexter Morgan: I think this is a friendly message like, "Hey! wanna play?" and yes I wanna play. I really really do.

Dexter Morgan: I've lived in darkness a long time. Over the years, my eyes adjusted until the dark became my world and I could see. But then Rudy turned on the light. He flooded my memory and now I'm blind.

Season one of Dexter set the stage for his wry and quirky outlook on life. We learn that he's been raised by a cop who found him in a shipping container practically swimming in his mother's blood. This is where we start to gain empathy for his character.

Dexter just seems to get better and better with each passing season. The first season was based on the novel called "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and from there they rolled with it. I can't wait to buy the box sets and enjoy them at my leisure.

Just when I thought we had reached the pinnacle of Dexter with Miguel (Jimmy Smits) we move onto season 4 with the introduction of Arthur Mitchell the Trinity Killer played by John Lithgow. This was off the charts suspenseful and good.

At the end of season 4 we were left hanging with what I think is the biggest cliffhanger of all time in a TV series. Dexter comes home after killing Arthur Mitchell the Trinity Killer to find his own wife (Rita) has been killed first and left in a tub of blood. This was insane!

Season 5 I couldn't wait for. Here are some of the best quotes from Dexter season 5:

What I liked about Dexter in season 5 was a return to roots in a way. Dexter ends up killing a few guys and not just one nemesis. He also helps Lumen a women who was tortured and abused find peace. This echoes back to Miguel and how he taught him and now Lumen to kill. And this ends up causing some problems as can Lumen really be trusted.
