So let's begin at the start and why I watched cartoons like Dexter's Laboratory.

When I was 3 or 4 years old I really liked to watch cartoons. My sister and I have been watching tv a lot, but only cartoons. It would be normal that we watched cartoons in our native language but we didn't.

Our best and only program was Cartoon Network!

We were really enjoying watching it and beside that we were learning our first english words. I don't quite remember if I was able to understand anything, but I remember that during the cartoon I asked my sister the meaning of some words. I think I've learned a lot of new words and my english skill was getting better and better.

I also didn't have any problems with my english in school. I think that was a good thing because I didn't have to spend a lot of time for learning english.

So the years passed by and today my english skill is quite good. Although I still have to study new definitions for specific times (present perfect simple and others) and some new words that come by. But it's not a problem for me!

So it's not bad if you watch TV (but not all the time because your eyes might burn, hehe), because you might learn some new words and learn something new. So turn on your TV and watch a movie or a show in a foreign language.
I prefer watching cartoons or perhaps Discovery channel, but the choise is yours :)

Dexter's Laboratory was created by Genndy Tartakovsky (1996) and produced by Cartoon Network Studios.

The show is about a young boy named Dexter. He's a boy genius and has an enormous secret laboratory behind his bookcase. In there he has a lot of inventions, which he invented but unfortunately Dee Dee almost always destroys his lab.

As I said the only problem is his stupid sister Dee Dee, who's destroying his lab all the time and his competitor Mandark. Dexter's parents don't know about the lab and in some shows they act really stupid and funny. Dee Dee also has 2 more friends (Mee Mee and LeeLee) and they're also anoying Dexter.

There are 4 seasons of Dexter's Lab, within 78 episodes. Each episode includes 1 or 2 Dexter' Lab shows or/and one show of Dial M For Monkey or The Justice Friends.

Season 1 (1996-1997) includes 13 episodes
Season 2 (1997-1998) 39
Season 3 (2001-2002) 13 and
Season 4 (2002-2003) also 13.

There are a lot of Dexter Lab episodes you can watch and I suggest the next Dexter Lab shows:

-Maternal Combat (Mom is sick and so Dexter and Dee Dee have to clean the house and cook for themselves. Dexter doesn't like that, so he creates mom-robot. At first the robot cleans and do chores but as soon as Dee Dee gets the remote control she gets the robot for herself. Then Dexter creates another mom-robot and so the maternal combat begins).

-Dee-Deemensional (Dee Dee goes into the past with a travel mashine and she tries to warn Dexter, so he does not turn on a demensional doorway, because there's a monster inside).

-Double Trouble(This one is my favourite. Dee Dee, Mee Mee and Lee Lee go to Dexter's lab where they're colapsing his lab and then they found out a cloning mashine and they duplicate. Dexter tries to calm down all the Dee Dee's, Mee Mee's and Lee Lee's and in the end his mom saves him when she calls for lunch).

-Hunger Strikes (Dexter doesn't like vegetables and after using one of his mashines he turns out to be a vegetable monster, who needs vegetables to feed his hunger).

-Old Man Dexter (Because he's too young to watch a saturday movie he ages himself but not thanks to Dee Dee he ages himself into an old man. When he wants to watch the movie it turns out he's too old and falls asleep.)

-Spacecase (Dexter's using an alien communicator and with it he invites aliens to his lab. They want to take him into space but as soon as they say that Dee Dee comes into the lab and so the aliens take Dee Dee. Dexter is very happy but a few hours later he's missing her. He thinks something is wrong and goes into the space himself. As he thinks Dee Dee is in trouble he's wrong, because Dee Dee's destroying their alien ship and wants to find some candy)

Dexter: (eating DeeDee's pie) Light, flaky crust, rich taste, but I can't quite place the flavor. Is it chocolate?

Dexter: Oh, mud! I would not have guessed!

Dexter: What's wrong with this machine?! It's been 5 minutes and I had no alien contact!
Dexter: DeeDee, what are you doing in my alien machine?
DeeDee: I'm having a tea party, silly!

DeeDee: Hi, Grandpa!
Dexter: Grandpa? Oh, no! I'm old! Come back here you... uh... when I was your age... uh... turn that down you... what was I doing?

DeeDee: Role call! MeeMee?
MeeMee: Present!
DeeDee: LeeLee?
LeeLee: Present!
DeeDee: DeeDee? Oh! I'm present, too!

Dee Dee: Uh, Dexter? Sorry to wake you...
Dexter: You mean like you did the last 20 times?
Dee Dee: Well, I went into your lab, see? And I pushed a button...
Dexter: Oh, you mean like you did the last 20 MILLION times?

Dexter: You fool! Mothers do not get sick; they take care of the sickly!
