Khenpo Choga is a 33rd generation lineage holder of the Dzogchen lineage of Buddhism. He is a Buddhist meditation master and scholar from Dzogchen Monastery and Dzogchen Shri Singha Monastic University in Tibet.
He currently teaches Dharma and gives practice training to thousands of students in more than forty countries around the world, including in the US.
Biographical Information on Kenpho Choga
He received the doctoral-level degree of Khenpo at the age of 22, an unprecedentedly young age in the almost 200-year history of Dzogchen Shri Singha University. He was one of the first of a new generation of young scholars to emerge from Tibet following the formal revival of Buddhist education there in the 1980s. He is the author of over 30 Buddhist texts including the English language text The Buddha Path. To purchase this English text you must go to the main website.
He has founded retreat centers in Nepal and India, and many Buddhist practice centers in Europe, the United States, and southeast Asia. He has taught in English in the West starting around 2002.
He is the current spiritual leader of the Dzogchen Shri Singha International organization, and many affiliated sanghas internationally.
What Is Dzogchen?
Khenpo is inviting all those who are interested in Buddhism to attend a Dzogchen Lineage internship program. This program is led by His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. It starts on July 4, 2008 and continues to January 4, 2009, and will be conducted at the sacred retreat land in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
