HealthFitCounter: Handheld Diet and Exercise Counter

Ranked #11,564 in Healthy Living, #187,525 overall

The Handheld Diet and Exercise Counter Tracks All Your Diet and Exercise Needs

The HealthFitCounter provides a simple and lightweight option to keep track of all your diet and exercise needs. It resembles a PDA with stylus and touch screen interaction. You can easily carry it in your pocket or purse all day, or keep it handy in your desk drawer.

The HealthFitCounter starts with a good size database of food and beverages, restaurants, and exercises. You can easily add to or edit the food database, or add your own favorite foods and recipes. If a new food is introduced at the grocery store, just enter the information off the label and it will be permanently stored.

The touch screen tracks calories, cholesterol, carbohydrates, sugars, fiber, protein and more, and tracks nutritional intake for last 30 days.

Just add your height, weight, activity level, calorie needs and favorite foods, if they not already loaded. Then set your own personal goals. The HealthFitCounter has an extra category that you can define for such things as Weight Watcher points, amount of water, and other information you may want to keep.

The HealthFitCounter has great features at a reasonable price. It is handy and unobtrusive; you can enter data with just a couple of clicks after each meal. This handheld diet and exercise counter is a great way to keep track of your dietary, exercise, and weight loss goals and progress.

Smith and Nephew: Dr. Joseph's Diabetic Foot Exam Kit

Helps prevent diabetic complications

Diabetic Foot ExamAnyone who is a diabetic or is caregiver to a diabetic knows the importance of proper foot care to ensure no future complications will arise. After all, diabetes causes poor circulation, and over time serious problems can ultimately cause the loss of a leg. Smith and Nephew has developed a tool kit that can help diabetics inspect and care for their lower feet, ankles and lower legs.

Dr. Joseph's Diabetic Foot Exam Kit includes everything one needs for proper hygiene including a long handled brush, adjustable inspection mirror and sponges for cleaning between the toes or applying medication.

Many diabetics are overweight or elderly who have trouble reaching far enough to conduct a routine daily inspection of their feet and legs. Using this foot exam kit will help guard against the open wounds and infections that can cause serious problems such as septicemia and gangrene.

A relative of mine lost both lower limbs and eventually died from diabetic complications. Although my father visits his podiatrist on a quarterly basis, having an exam kit greatly helps in preventive care between visits.

Seriously consider purchasing Dr. Joseph's Diabetic Foot Exam Kit today in order to maintain healthy feet. Your life may depend on properly taking care of your lower limbs.

Verseo AeroToner Massager

This personal massager will have you energized in no time!

Vibrating MassagerThe Verseo AeroToner Massager can bring wonderful benefits to anyone who needs help with their circulation. Basically, all you need to do is sit in your favorite chair, relax, and let the massager do its work.

The beauty of the AeroToner is that it massages and tones at the same time. Most of us need help in firming our muscles and increasing circulation to our legs, especially those of us who have a desk job or do not get as much exercise as we should during the course of the day. The portable massager also helps tone abdominal muscles, forearms and hands.

Spend a few minutes receiving a deep vibrating massage and you will feel energized and ready to take on your next task. The three speed massager has a 5-minute timer and turns off automatically so that you can just sit back and relax.

The only caution is the VerseoAeroToner Massager is not recommended for anyone who wears a pacemaker. Otherwise, you are good to go. What could be better in anyone's busy life than to have their own relaxing personal massager and getting their feet and calves toned at the same time.

Five Tips to Consider Before You Start an Exercise Program

Here are a few tips to get you off to a safe start...

1. Check with your doctor before starting an exercise program. Your health care provider can tell you if there are special circumstances you need to be aware of.

2. Exercise 4 to 5 hours after a meal. Diabetics should never exercise first thing in the morning after fasting all night. The optimum time is 4-5 hours after a meal. For example, If you eat lunch at noon, the best time to exercise is 4-5 p.m.

3. Always stretch for at least five minutes before and after any exercise program to warm up and cool down your muscles.

4. Start slowly and gradually work up to your optimum level. No use trying to run a marathon when you can't yet walk around the block.

5. Wear the proper shoes. Whether walking or doing aerobics, wearing the proper style and size shoe will help prevent injuries or problems with your feet.
