What do you think about counting carbs to help control the blood sugar levels?
  • DARdreams Jun 9, 2011 @ 7:08 am | delete
Since ingesting carbs makes BGLs go up, it makes sense that not ingesting many of them keeps BGLs lower. For me, it's not just the amount of carbs; the kinds of carbs make a difference, too. The only way to know what your own body likes is to test after each meal to see what happens. You can see more info about how I keep my BGL under 100 (without meds) here: http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-control-your-blood-glucose-level-with-a-low-carb-lifestyle.
