Diamond Supply Co Clothing

Nick Tershay was approached by Nike to help on the design of a special edition Nike Dunk for their SB (skateboarding) line. In 2005, Nike, in collaboration with Diamond Supply Co and Nick Tershay, released the most sought after sneaker release of the year. The "Tiffany" SB Dunk helped solidify Diamond's place atop the skate and streetwear industries and brought international attention to the brand.

Streetwear is a broad category used to describe clothing which provides an alternative to more mainstream pop-culture brands that can be traditionally found in department stores, malls, and other high-volume retail environments. The streetwear movement was a direct result of the "force feeding" of brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and GAP down the throats of 20-somethings all across the world. Instead of conforming to pop fashion, young entrepreneurs took their own ideas and designed custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats for themselves and their friends. As more and more people grew tired of the same old boring look, they started taking notice of this new fashion, which seemingly grew from the streets overnight. This new "look" varied from region to region, but took inspiration from hip-hop and skateboarding cultures and fused it with in-your-face graphics and sharp color schemes better known as "colorways." Over time, the quality of streetwear brands increased to the levels we see today... where people are willing to camp at stores overnight and spend hours browsing E-bay waiting for that elusive tee to hit the Internet.

Typical of most streetwear brands, releases by Diamond Supply Co are often very limited, with the most popular designs/colorways selling out instantly online and in-store. The limited nature of Diamond Supply Co releases make finding, buying, and collecting the most popular clothing from the streetwear designer almost impossible. Many releases can only be found at their retail store (store exclusives), but Diamond Supply Co does design, print, and distribute special lines which can be found at mall and online resellers. These designs are more easily accessible, and give the general public a feel for what's going on over at the Diamond Supply Co design department. The more exclusive and MUCH more limited prints and runs are ONLY available direct from the Diamond Supply Co store or from Diamond's online store... if you miss out, there's always E-bay! If you are planning on purchasing the more limited t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, and belts... have your wallet ready and get ready to do some searching! Limited edition Diamond Supply Co releases can go for over $150 on E-bay and other online auction sites and can be quite difficult to locate. Buy only from trusted sellers who have a proven track record of selling ONLY authentic merchandise... NEVER contribute to E-bay sellers and online resellers dealing with knockoffs or replicas.

This is the one that started it all. Summer 2007 saw the drop of the Cold As Ice tee, with the elusive tiffany colorway dropping at the Diamond Supply Co store on August 11, 2007. Nearly one year later, these prints can still be found floating around eBay, but be prepared to have some competition. Deadstock Cold As Ice tees can be hard to come by, so if you see one that catches your eye... JUMP ON IT! The thumbnail picture above shows the COLD AS ICE printed on a heather gray t-shirt.

In early 2008, Diamond Supply Co dropped another bombshell with the release
of their Marilyn Monroe collaboration with Girl Skateboards. These prints were
done on white, pina (pale yellow), and tiffany shirts in very limited
quantities. Later, a very limited amount of crew sweatshirts were released with
this same design. If you're lucky, you might also be able to find the matching
skateboard deck on E-bay!

In May of 2008, Diamond Supply Co again teamed up with fellow streetwear
designer Crooks & Castles for their 3rd collaboration. Prior to the release
of their Spring/Summer 2008 line, Diamond Supply Co leaked a super limited
amount of Black/Tiffany and Tiffany/Black shirts (50 of each colorway) for sale
online ONLY. The release sold out instantly and again fueled the fire under many
streetwear collectors.
