The History of Tennis Bracelets

Tennis bracelets have become very popular over the past 20 years. Many women prefer a tennis bracelet to any other type of jewelry. They are classified by their symmetrically set diamonds all in a single row
The first time the term tennis bracelet was used was in 1987. Before this time they were known as "inline" bracelets.Chris Evert was playing in the womens U.S. Open of 1987 when she had notify the referees to pause her match. Her bracelet had fell out into the court and broken, she had to retrieve all of her diamonds that had scattered everywhere. From that day on the bracelet became know as the "tennis bracelet." That one single incident on the court that day caused the new name for the item and started the huge jewelry trend that is still popular today. Almost every woman tennis star that you will see play today still wears a tennis bracelet.
