    great. Glad you made a lens for the next movie. haven't seen this one yet as my son has yet to ask. [won't go encouraging it as I'm not a fan of Roderick]

    The second movie is already out in theatres - Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Rodrick Rules.I hated the book (having borrowed it from the library),. Rodrick was just so nasty to Greg. Now that there is a movie, I will have to buy the book.

    Rodrick is not my fav character - my son relates to the relationship between the two though as he has a sometimes nasty older brother as well. My son hasn't asked about the second movie yet so we probably won't be seeing that one.

    We watched the first and my son reads all the books - usually he finishes the book in one sitting. They aren't too challenging for his reading level but for some reason he enjoys reading them.

    I've never heard of the Wimpy Kid books or movie. But it sounds like the kind of thing I would enjoy to some extent, even as an adult.

    Yes it might be good-took my son to see the movie and he enjoyed it - some parts are definitely not appropriate for younger children [in my opinion] but kids 11+ will definitely relate.

    Lots of my sons third grade class mates enjoy this series. I think my son related a lot with the relationship between the brothers as he and his brother have a 5 year difference.

    My son was asking for the Wimpy kid books in grade 2. We now have books 1, and 3 through 5 plus the do-it-yourself book. We borrowed some of them from the library to start with, and I was so NOT impressed with Rodrick Rules (book 2). I thought Rodrick was a terrible big brother so I stopped reading it amd I refuse to buy it om the grounds of Rodrick being such a bad influence. I am sorry but I wont let my 8 year old even think about ideas like those until he is at least in middle school himself. We saw the movie too and enjoyed it. We gotta rememebr that most middle school kids are at least 10 years old. My son is still only 8.

    @Serenia I must agree with the Older brother evaluation but one of the reasons my son likes it is that sometimes his older brother [5 year difference] acts like Rodrick. If left to me my son probably would not have been introduced to this series but it was through school and once he read the one from school he was hooked.
