A New Perspective On Zombies
Diary of the Dead (2007)
is the fifth movie in what is known as the 'Living Dead' series by George A. Romero.
This film is a departure from the previous 'Living Dead' installments as it is all shot from a first-person perspective (think The Blair Witch Project (1999)
). This film also has the distinction of being the first in the series not to turn a profit, in fact, the revenue on this film only covered about half the budget! It's surprising how much further an extra $5,000,000 can go when you compare the look of this film to the previous installment Land of the Dead (2005)
.
Due to the fact that this movie is less than 10 years old and is considered by many to be the low point in the series, I don't expect there to be a remake.
