Which is Better, Diddl or Hello Kitty?

Since I started pen palling 8 years ago I've come across a variety of stationery products. Among the many cute characters available Diddl and Hello Kitty stand out the most.

Before swapping and exchanging letters with friends in Europe I never heard of Diddl. Hello Kitty is something I've grown up with. I remember visiting the Sanrio store as a kid and purchasing those little dollar grab bags and enjoying the surprise of opening them up to see what treasure I bought.

I don't know what it is about the little Mouse and all his friends but I adore all the A4 Notepads, Plushies, wallets, pencils, erasers, and collectibles.

Which do you prefer? Hello Kitty or Diddl?

Origin and Development:

Birthday: August 24, 1990, Thomas Goletz drew the very first sketches of the Character.
There was no name yet, and it was not a Jerboa (Springmaus) yet either. It was meant to be a Kangaroo with overalls. Kangaroos have such nice big feet. After the first few sketches Thomas found his Kangaroo too big. It had to be smaller, handier, and cuddlier. The Jerboa was born. It also had big feet and overalls. It was also much smaller and more suited to be applied to other products.

Hello Kitty appeared on the Scene in November 1, 1974. She likes small cute things, candy, stars and goldfish. She is a cheerful warm-hearted little girl. Baking cookies is her forte, but what she enjoys most is eating a piece of Mama's apple pie. Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy are the best of friends.
