Dido (Full name: Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle OMalley Armstrong) is a marvelous musician, songwriter and singer who is best known for the song "White Flag".

- Born in 1971
- Her mother was a French poet and her father a publisher
- Named after the mythical Carthaginian queen
- Her parents enrolled her at the Guildhall School of Music in London, England. By the time she reached her teens Dido had learned to play the piano, recorder and the violin.
- Dido studied law at Birkbeck, University of London, however, she dropped out deciding instead to take up music full-time
- First main album released in the US in 1999 "No Angel" through Arista, although "Odds and Ends" was distributed before that without the help of a major record company
- No Angel went to No1 in the UK in 2001
- "Life for Rent" was her next album, rleasing in Sep 2003, and was one of the fastest selling records in UK history
- Third album, "Safe Trip Home", released November 2008
- Dido has worked with a number of other artists including Carlos Santana, Shaman, and a duet with Rufus Wainwright entitled "I Eat Dinner (When the Hunger's Gone)".
