Diecast Model Ford Cars and Trucks

This lens will be for the collector of Ford diecast models, both cars and trucks. A little history of the many early models of Ford cars and trucks and where to find your favorite Ford model. At left the 1896 Qaudricycle was the start of the many great machines produced by Henry Ford. If you are a collector of Ford model cars or trucks I am sure you will find something of interest here.

1896 Quadricycle the First Ford Car

This little machine was based on a simple chassis with a tool box seat, 4 bicycle wheels and tiller steering. Powered by a two cylinder engine of Henry Fords own design,which produced four horsepower and a speed of 20 miles an hour. No brakes or reverse gears were used on this 1st vehicle. As a matter of fact the first time this little car stopped was because it broke down with an ignition problem. Ford was not to give up over a small problem like that and went on to develop many fine automobiles as we well know.

    I like the Quadricycle. Ford should revive this model but using solar panels for energy.
