Quadricycle the First Ford Car
This little machine was based on a simple chassis with a tool box seat, 4 bicycle wheels and tiller steering. Powered by a two cylinder engine of Henry Fords own design,which produced four horsepower and a speed of 20 miles an hour. No brakes or reverse gears were used on this 1st vehicle. As a matter of fact the first time this little car stopped was because it broke down with an ignition problem. Ford was not to give up over a small problem like that and went on to develop many fine automobiles as we well know. Great Pics
