Try and Try to lose, but end up gaining more!

I've tried and tried to lose weight with so many different diets and, until recently, I've never lost a pound! Well, let me take that back. I have tried a couple diet plans here and there that have helped me lose a few pounds. As soon as I've went off the diet, I've gained back even more and let's face it, no one wants to drink grapefruit juice everyday for the rest of their lives, especially when you only lose a few pounds!



How many of these diets that don't work have you tried?


I've been on low calorie diets, low fat diets, and everything in between. I even tried the famous Atkins Diet and managed to stick to it for a week or so, but not a single one of them helped! Before wasting any more money on diets that don't work and weight loss pills with nasty side effects, I decided it would help if I understood why none of these other diets helped me lose weight.

I was really starting to wonder if maybe it was just me; maybe I was just doomed to be fat. Maybe I just couldn't lose weight! I'm so glad I decided to do some research instead of giving up on ever having a slender, sexy body! I realized it wasn't me - it was the diets I tried. They just didn't work!
  • Low fat diets have always seemed like a healthy, sensible way to lose weight to me. During my research, I found that decreasing the percentage of calories you receive from fat to less than 30% can actually increase the chances of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes and can even mean you're more likely to be overweight! Most of the low fat diets I've tried have recommended a diet with about 10% of the calories from fat. Dangerous, not to mention pointless, weight loss plans!

  • Low carb diets can be harmful to your body too. I mentioned trying the Atkins Diet and I've started a few other low carb plans, always with the same results. After a few days, I'm exhausted and feel like I have no energy. Then the weekend comes and I have to turn down dinner dates because these diets are so strict that it is impossible to eat out! I didn't stick to any low carb diet for more than two weeks, but I've heard it is nearly impossible to quit once you've been on it and lost weight. These plans also have high amounts of fat which can be just as harmful as too little fat.

  • I've also tried a lot of different low calorie diets. I never could understand how I could go from eating 2500 calories a day to 1500 and still not lose weight! After a little studying, I learned that our bodies are pretty smart. It only takes about three days before your metabolism rate will automatically adjust to your new calorie intake. Instead of burning fat in the place of the calories you used to consume, your body will still only use the calories you take in. I starved myself for nothing!


  • How Did I Lose An Entire Dress Size in Less Than 2 Weeks?
    With all this information about why the diets I've tried haven't worked, it was actually easy for me to find the one that did! I came across an affordable diet plan that made sense! Within the first 11 days, I lost 9 pounds! I ate good, healthy foods that I like, went out to my favorite restaurants with my friends, and even had a couple drinks at the neighborhood pub - and lost weight!
