There are different types of pet insurance that insurance companies offer. It comes in different plans and packages. But if we look closely, we could just come up with three different types of pet insurance.

Pet insurance type one: Life Time Pet Insurance Cover

As the name suggests, life time pet insurance cover insures your pet for the duration of its life. This type of pet insurance is renewed per year. It is all-encompassing policy that entitles you with the same privelages for the same condition all year-round. The number of times you can claim may be regardless as long as your pet is covered with this type of insurance. However, the amount of money you can get is usually capped on a annual basis to the maximum amount stated in the policy insurance. When claims are made, the excess fees for this type of insurance is quite high. Among the different types of pet insurance, the life time pet insurance cover is the most expensive to maintan. Pet insurance type two: Per Condition Insurance Cover (Condition Capped)

This type of pet insurance is a more selective type of policy. So, this is how this policy works, you are going to set a maximum amount for each new condition you can claim but it is subjected for a period of time.Usually, the period of time is twelve (12) months. However, most of the pet owners do not set a period limit. With this, the pet owner can make as many claims as required given that each one is for a new condition. This type of pet insurance is not advisable for those pets with long-term illnesses since the insurance would cease when you reach the maximum amount that you have set. And also, the policy would only cover a particular condition.

Pet insurance type three: Annual Pet Insurance Cover (Time Capped)

This is the most affordable insurance yet it is the least flexible choice. The annual pet insurance cover has similar features as to the Per Condition Insurance Cover but the difference lies on the period limit of a condition that is allowed for a claim. Often, the period limit is 12 months from the date of the first treatment. This insurance would cover treaments for illnesses and injury for up until twelve (12) months. You can also avail these insurances once it reaches the maximum limit per condition.

There are the three diffrent types of pet insurance. We hope this pet insurance comparison review has helped with your decision.
